Yes, the alternative is 100% plausible. Conspiracies never happen. Everything is as it seems, all things are transparent and as reported by official committees. The government is there for our best interest at all times. Individuals always wield power over wealth with zero self interest or greed. Once I spend most of my attention and energy to cover basic necessities, I`ll watch some sport and expend the little energy I have left yelling for a ball to be caught.

That was actually funny. It just shows the ridiculousness of how elaborate (and improbable) the hoax would have to be to pull off. Yes, conspiracies do happen. To say no conspiracies happen, is ignorant. To say everything is a conspiracy, well that`s ignorant too.

Healthy Scepticism is good, but when a whole host of independent organisation`s conclude the government version of event`s has happened. As Popular Mechanics did (as an example of top of my head there are more) Then you go from healthy suspicion to being a conspiracy nut.

What about that "other" host? The host of independent organizations that conclude the government version of event`s could not possibly, physically have happened? You mentioned Popular Mechanics (ie. Hearst Corporation), a magazine known for it`s hyper-military and neo-con articles (which happens to get a good bit of its ad revenue from defense and military contractors). Now, why would that particular publication hire the cousin of Michael Chertoff (head of the Department of Homeland Security) to debunk 9/11 "myths"? Think about it.
