Call me a nerd, but things like this just makes me happy. For further reading, google “”Targeted Reinnervation””.

Wow...I attempted to write a longer comment a couple of times but `wow` pretty much captures it. The possibilities from here are looking mighty appealing.

That could be bad though. You know how you get those thoughts, "I`d like to knock that dude out?" Could make for some interesting stories.

One day prosthetic arms and legs will be a better choice then natural ones.

    Xprez - that`s something I`ve never considered.

Maybe someday we will see somebody acquitted for for murder. "It wasn`t me! The arm strangled her to death!"

Seriously though...It could be satisfying too. It`s like the ultimate "stranger".

That arm will be useful defence when you throw your coffee over your shoulder in someone`s face. Also arm could hold electric shaver to do head for first step of `bald to badass`.
Joking aside though, this is a notable achievement, ****.

Xprez: It doesn`t really work that way, I have to admit I chose the title for impact as you have to do with the character limit.

The thought part is that the amputee can still send signals through nerves that doesn`t go anywhere anymore, and this prosthetic (combined with surgery to make the signals clearer) interprets them as the actions a normal limb would do. Still takes some training but yeah, you see the results.

I know, nerding out to a comment that was likely a joke to begin with, but gosh darn it, this is awesome!

It`s most assuredly awesome, Tiredofnicks! Very cool post! I would FAP with it yet, or use a sharp objec like a knife with it--doesn`t look like the control is subtle enough yet--but I have a feeling it won`t be long!

Credit to this guy, he`s worked really hard with the developers to get it working this well.

Made me think of this - not really related but funny as hell.
