    @SCfan- You`re absolutely right, Those Nascar pit-stops do seem to take an eternity.

    Pit stops during races usually take 2.5-3.5 seconds, which is already insane, but this is just ridiculous.

    You can put in gas before the race but a single tank won`t last for 500 miles. @nickel2 Nascar rims are 5 bolt so they take a bit longer to change.

    @nickel2 Nascar rims are 5 bolt so they take a bit longer to change.
    They also use gravity-fed gas cans rather than pressurized fuel hoses.

    @bg77 actually, this team (Red Bull Racing) has the world record fastest pit stop ever... So they really can do it in the race too.
