When you have been "we" or 75 years how do you go back to being "I"? That`s why the part of the song where he sings "I don`t want to move on" gets me.

If IAB did nominations for top 10 submissions of the year, this would be a contender.

That just made a tear appear,
just to love someone for that long,
dayum, yes it needed a bit of J.cash, but just the thought this 96 year old guy did this to honour his childhood love, sir you have my respect

yea this is sweet, however the autotune killed it tho, id much rather have an older grittier voice as the vocals

@Evil_Eye

"Was a song that needed a older mans voice, someone like Johnny Cash."

That thought struck me, too, as soon as the vocals entered. An older singer would have given it a different feel. Having said that, though, congrats to the guys who made that song happen.

I was misty eyed right up into the part with the electronic sounding singing... I preferred the old man singing it over that. Was a song that needed a older mans voice, someone like Johnny Cash.

The pictures of them growing old together in the background made up for it though. Very touching!

My parents had only 56 years together, before she died last December. I wish Dad had a song for Mom. This was beautiful.

A fantastic story and a really good video, Gerry.

Whenever someone posts a disturbing news item, it seems we always see the same old hackneyed "humanity sucks" comments. Well, guess what? THIS is "humanity."
