Hero didn`t live in a container. He lived in a storage unit near the airport.

Have any of you actually read the book?

No shipping container is discarded. They are sold for reuse or sold for the metal content - depending on condition. They make good storage sheds too.

"I could do it."
In the book, the main character was a hacker/samurai/pizza delivery guy for the mafia.

He shared the container-apartment with a heavy metal fusion guitarist.
They had another on a truck that was a portable concert stage.
These are really cool and a great idea. There are so many positive things about the reuse of the containers. I would love to see something like this come to the US, but it will probably take a while with the mentality of many Americans. ugh

I really want to move to Europe.
What? You WANT to be crammed into a tiny shipping container? Fine, if ya don`t like all the space we got here, f*cking move to Europe already. Jesus. As for me? I`ll be enjoying all the space.
