Noone calling "bad parenting" for the mom being a distance away have any clue if the lady that was withing quick arm reach and picked up the kid is a sister, aunt, or friend that was watching over him at the time while the mom was busy... if so, the kid was being looked after and it was not bad parenting. Anyway, he should look where he`s going.. but good on him for walking away.

Yup. It`s called parenting. Maybe if the mother wasn`t so busy texting and paid attention to her little "snowflake" this wouldn`t have happened.

Found the comment. Here is an excerpt:
"This skate park is in Hayward, California. Being from the area about 85% of the people..."

But given, I do agree with you to an extent. Although she was wrong to throw the punch. She did not even look at her child, just went straight for his face.

That is not good parenting. That is not acceptable behavior.

WTYK... a skater who isn`t a douchebag.
Yeah, an accident happened. Probably his fault.
He apologized and when the women went bat-poo crazy on him {as women tend to do} instead of hitting her he walked away.

Good job guy!

It`s a pretty empty park/broadwalk. Yes skateboarder should be aware but equally that kid came running out of nowhere directly into him. Kid goes and runs infront a car? you all blame the driver?

if the driver of said car was driving through a public park? hell yeah. The point is simple. you teach your kids to stay away from bad/ dangerous places and you point out where good/ safe places are. As someone with way more momentum (and thus force) going through a Public park the onus is on you to look after the safety of others.

Basicaly you wouldn`t expect some to come driving through walmart either would you? hence the argument. the kid came out of nowhere doesn`t apply. the responsibility lies with the skater.

If tried to find out where it took place as well can`t find any accurate info. only people claiming it is a skatepark. i`ve seen a few skate parks in my day`s and this looks nothing like it.
The greenery and lack of ramps, grinding bars, slopes, graffity and lack of other skaters give me a very very strong impression this is a public park. (if it was a skatepark then i agree the biatc should have kept her kid away)
someone getting shot for hiding in the bushes.
Well that`s not the court accepted version of event`s from what witnesses there were and the science guys who looked at the trajectory of the bullet and gun powder residue. But keep telling yourself that.

Women shouldn`t have hit the skateboarder, and not showing a good role model for her child.

@MrOrange:

if you watch the video on liveleak and sift through the commentary, several people have written that this occurred in a skate park in California (do not remember the city name, something like "haywire" or something like that).

Granted, credibility might be relative but if they are right in their statement and the scene is indeed a skate park, then the careless aggressive idiot of a mother should be either charged with assault or have her skank ass handed back to her in a doggie bag.

Don`t feed the trolls guys. They`re not even being clever about it.

OT: Mind your damn kids. She was way over yonder, probably on the phone taking a collect call from her gang banger baby daddy, while her 2 year old runs around unattended.

That bitch is clearly living on sheer confidence. Good thing it`s on film so the skater dude can sue for assault.

It looks like a skatepark to me, why was a child running around a skatepark? And honestly, it looked clearly like an accident. He didn`t laugh, he was talking to the other lady and said he was sorry, that he didn`t see him, asked how he was. The mom however, assaulted him with no hesitation. We have no idea how old the skateboarder is, he too could be a minor. She should definitely be arrested. On her son`s birthday.

Hey MrOrange, maybe take responsibility for your own kids. Like you said it`s a park. People can ride skateboards, run around and what have you.
Now kindly go f.uck yourself, you internet badass. And it`s "standards" by the way.

So... we can safely conclude the freddyferret and MrOrange don`t have the brains that they were born with.

Par for the course for IAB.

Sorry, but he should have been watching where he was going. I don`t think the child was unattended, the mom was right there after it happened. Just because she wasn`t right next to him doesn`t mean he was unattended.

She shouldn`t have punched him, she should have called the police and had HIM arrested for assault. Assaulting a minor isn`t taken lightly.

you `mericans are a funny lot. you see no problem with a guy shooting a kid becuase he drove up his driveway (he had the wrong adress) or someone getting shot for hiding in the bushes. but someone runs over your kid with the potential for serious bodily harm and it`s .. bad black person! she`s a no good parent... violence isn`t the answer! double standerds much?

fu.c.k.ing idiot should have had his ass torn out.
it`s a public park with kids. His blatent disregard for the welbeing of others could have seriously damaged that kid, and skater dudes arn`t know to make enough money to pay medical bills. i would have shoved that skateboard four wheels up his ass.

It looks like the kid ran into him. Granted, we do not know the public park/city policy on skateboarding, but we do know that assault is illegal in every state. Have her arrested for assault and call CPS. Parents that teach their children that violence is the answer to everything should NOT be parents.

I can understand being mad can make you act irrational, but the first thing I would of done is run full speed to my child and make sure he was alright, like the aunt did at 0:09.

The Mum strolled over casually and didn`t even look at her child before she jumped to acting violent. In fact if you listen to the background you can hear her calling her sister to forget her son and punch the skater in the face.

I am against violence, especially towards women.
I try my best to practice self control and patience.

But hell, even I would have knocked her out cold.

the skater should keep it to the skatepark. If you are skating in a public park it is your responsibility to be aware of the people around you. that said, reasonable, civilised people can recognise a mistake and when no lasting damage has been done.

The kid ran right into the skateboarder.
Even if he tried to stop he would have had time to do so.

The kid is a little tard, and his mom is a mad cow.

The little kid wasn`t standing still, he ran into the skater.

They`re called "accidents" for a reason. Woman was way out of line with that right cross.

Why was the son all the way on the other side of the park/lot/whatever and not next to mom?

Skater was cool about it and apologetic, no need for mom to act stupid.

My guess is the reason he didn`t clock her is that he probably realized it was being recorded. Had he done so, he couldn`t file charges on her. Now he can.

Questions:
- Is this area posted No Skateboarding?
- Wasn`t there once an era when children could run around beyond Mom`s physical reach?

Yeah, he ran into the kid by accident...no need to go there. What is she teaching the kid when it grows up around this kind of behavior.

I don`t know. Being a mother myself...our protective instinct is STRONG. Rational thought sometimes goes to the wind when our children are threatened/injured. It is called, "Mama Bear Complex" for a reason.

I don`t think he deserved to be punched though...he clearly felt bad but she didn`t see that.
