Ugh, I can`t stand McCain. He`ll say whatever he thinks you want to hear; the man has no constitution.

I feel so bad for john mccain. I used to like him so much. I used to respect him so much. The way he was forced so right in the 2000 primary race was really hard to watch.

You could see him saying things and tell he thought they were repugnant. Like a really nice guy playing a villain on tv.

I like how there is no shame when posting a clip from MSNBC. The truth is, John McCain never left this "Dark Side". If you ever decided to turn Jon Stewart or Chris Matthews off, you might be aware of this. However, since you only follow them, you will only know the narrative they will tell you. And this suits it very well.

It`s a strawman argument. Nobody thinks that a disabled person is a parasite. It`s that simple. From where did this woman get it so ingrained in her mind that she is essentially a parasite? Don`t watch too much Jon Stewart. Go on, keep putting up those strawman for yourself to knock down.

"Nobody thinks that a disabled person is a parasite. It`s that simple. From where did this woman get it so ingrained in her mind that she is essentially a parasite?"

Probably from the presidential candidate that said "I`ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives" or the vice president candidate who used the term "takers" or "receivers" as anyone who takes more from the government then they pay in, including those on social security or medicare.

Andrew: "Nobody thinks that a disabled person is a parasite."

I wouldn`t say that. HG has pretty much accused me of just that and he`s about as liberal as they get here at IAB. So HG you`re being a rather blatant hypocrite criticizing John McCain.

You are a parasite, financially speaking. Anyone who lives off of the government is a parasite. Here is the difference between me and republicans: I think your value as a human being is not based on whether you pay more into the government then you take out. I would never vote to diminish your benefits or complain about people who receive benefits within the rules of the system.

I don`t talk down about those on social security or welfare or disability or food stamps. I think everyone has the right to basic survival in the richest country in the history of the world.

I don`t criticize mcacain for calling her a taker (she is) I criticize him for talking about cutting her benefits so there is more room in the budget to build tanks.

"he`s about as liberal as they get here at IAB"

Compared to you and a few others I am extremely liberal. But that is only because you are so far right.

I have taken assessments on where my personal views fall. About 60% of my views align with liberals while 40% of my views align with conservatives. Now you probably align with conservatives on 95% of things, which is fine, but it makes me look WAY out in left field, while in reality I`m statistically in the middle.

    Relativity my friend, relativity.

The man almost died when his plane was shot down in Vietnam, he was then almost beaten to death an imprisoned in the Hanoi Hilton for 5 years, in solitary confinement with his hands chained above his head. He was beaten and tortured at least twice a week.

Quite frankly I`m amazed he can function in society at all.

It takes a real hard leftist to refuse to see the difference btween a person who works for as long as they physically and a person who makes a career living off the government..... It really defies logic.

HG: "I would never vote to diminish your benefits or complain about people who receive benefits within the rules of the system."

But you have no qualms about demeaning people like myself by calling us parasites. That`s what this video was all about, the perceived meanness of Republicans. Well you`re no better, in fact you`re worse.

"I don`t talk down about those on social security or welfare or disability or food stamps."

Bullsh|t sir! You`ve talked down to me on a regular basis here at IAB. You`ve completely dismissed things I`ve had to say, as if I had no right to voice my opinion because I`m on disability.

Relativity? You speak of relativity after blatantly choosing a nickname to troll theists with? I believe that alone shows your true left-wing colors.

Bulls.hit. Craker may not be able to do manual labor anymore but he obviously can work a computer just fine and that is all the physicality that is needed for tons of jobs in america.

I sent him a link of a company that specializes in hiring disabled people to work part time from home doing telemarketing. They had profiles of people with severe, crippling, debilitating conditions that were working for them.

His response? "Telemarketing sucks". At some point it is a choice.

I talk down to you because of your HYPOCRISY, not your disability.

You complain about taxes and people living off the government and how stupid and bad the government is, while you live off of the government and a government program.

Does that not DEFINE the term "bite the hand that feeds you"?

HG: "I talk down to you because of your HYPOCRISY, not your disability."

You know what`s "biting the hand that feeds me"? More and more and more people jobless, homeless and begging for government assistance because this administration keeps throwing trillions of dollars into crap programs that WILL NOT create long-term jobs.

There are more people on disability, food stamps, and unemployment than ever before. Many have simply given up looking for work. At this rate there simply won`t be any money to fund disability payments in 3 years. Link

It`s not hypocrisy to stand on one`s principles despite their circumstances. I know for a fact that if we could turn this economy around and get people employed again, we could dig ourselves out of this massive debt hole that`s bee

But as it stands now, with these idiot liberals wanting to spend money we haven`t got, then imposing punitive taxes on everything in sight. we will never dig ourselves out. The system will collapse, which is what they want, so they can impose cradle to grave socialism on us.

That sort of social collapse has killed millions and millions of people before and enslaved the rest for generations. Examples: Russia, China, Cambodia.

So, forgive me for not wanting see their miserable mistakes repeated here in America.

Well, as long as you aren`t going to be hyperbolic.

I really don`t think raising taxes a couple percent on the richest people in america so that we can actually pay for the kinds of programs you live off of is going to send america spiraling down into a socialist dystopia.

    Which ones in particular?

    "adding more cars"

If you are so concerned with more cars why don`t you put your actions where your mouth is and get off the road and get a job? You know full well you could. You could find a job that requires no more physical requirements than doing what you are doing on the computer right now.

"You sure? Ever heard of Detroit?"

Ya. I grew up in michigan. So I am vaguely familiar with it.

Michigan was a manufacturing and farming state. Manufacturing and farming jobs have been systematically destroyed in this country. That is why detroit is a cesspool now.

@HolyGod - I`m going to respectfully disagree (I know, on the interwebs?!?!) Detroit followed a 50 year cycle of liberal politicians being re-elected and funded by large unions who in turn gave back huge pensions to ensure the cycle continued, while recruiting the rest of Detroit with "Chicken in Every Pot" politics... now they have unfunded pension liabilities, 40% of the street lights are broken, and it takes an average of 58 minutes to get a police response... that is the bankrupting of a major American city through entitlements... I live in L.A... I`m watching it happen to us.

    "funded by large unions"

I`m no huge fan of unions. I know LOTS of stories of absolute corruption in michigan and people being paid $40+ an hour for menial labor.

That is one of the reasons all the jobs disappeared because GM, Ford, and Chrysler took the manufacturing elsewhere and i don`t really blame them.

"I live in L.A... I`m watching it happen to us."

That will never happen in LA. People want to live there. Wealth is centered there and it isn`t going anywhere. Nobody wanted top live in detroit. People who could afford to leave did and moved to places like phoenix, LA, etc.

Once the manufacturing jobs left there was basically nothing to draw. LA will always have the climate, the location, the entertainment industry. Those will always draw people in.

HG: "You could find a job that requires no more physical requirements than doing what you are doing on the computer right now."

Once again, you make unfounded accusations about something you know little about. You claim to not want disability taken away from people like me and then out the other side of your face you want to see it taken away from me, just because I argue with you.

As I said before, this tactic of yours of trying to silence me, because you think I have no right to complain, is demeaning and bullying.

I shouldn`t have to justify my disability to you, even though I`ve tried too multiple times.

Judge not lest ye be judged.

I know you can work a computer. I know that is all that is required for hundreds of jobs.

"You claim to not want disability taken away from people like me and then out the other side of your face you want to see it taken away from me"

Not at all. Feel free to use it, that is what it is there for. Just appreciate it and stop s.hitting on social programs WHILE taking advantage of them. When have i ever said I want it taken away from you? I want you to put your money where your mouth is and take it away yourself.

"I shouldn`t have to justify my disability to you"

You don`t. But should "all those others" you constantly complain about on disability, food stamps, and welfare have to justify themselves to you?

Look at it this way. If I owned abortion clinics and made my living off of abortion clinics but constantly b.itched about the evils of abortion and how it is destroying america wouldn`t you find that hypocritical?

Isn`t complaining about social programs and the government while living off of them kind of the same thing?

HG: You still DO NOT get it. The social security, disability and food stamp systems are overwhelmed as it is. And this administration is adding even more to it!

So yes, I have a right to complain about a system that is going to be broke in 3 years because of policies you endorse.

But you seem to think that just because I can operate a computer for half an hour at a time, that I`m employable, but completely disregard that there are millions of people sponging off the system and wrecking it for those of us that are genuinely disabled.

I`m not unappreciative of the system, I`m disgusted at it being overburdened because of liberal policies like allowing the able bodied to get food stamps for up to 3 years. Not to mention adding millions more able bodied people onto the medicare system via Obamacare.

I want to see the system last, not become broken leaving me and others like me out in the cold.

Unfortunately, I was mainly posting it for the story that accompanied the video, and my title was, "McCain tells constituent she`s not a taker." Fact is, that`s the message of those on the far right. Please don`t pretend it`s not. It`s all about "Well, if you don`t have insurance, that`s your fault." Please don`t like and pretend that`s not the message. McCain has said it himself. I`m glad to see he`s not willing to go that far when not actively running for president.
