    Honestly I`m more comfortable with legislators who steal money by breaking the law than those who steal it by passing them...

    This is what happens to your union dues people. It goes to crooks like these, and in most states you have no choice in the matter. Union dues should only go to support their members, not politicians campaigns.

    @ CrakrJak - Unions are people my friend.
    At least they`re closer to being a people than a corporation is.

    Gerry1of1-"Unions are people my friend."

    Yeah, so was Jeffrey Dahmer.

    Gerry1of1-"At least they`re closer to being a people than a corporation is."

    Corporations have always been people. The Supreme Court was just acknowledging a set precident.

    Look in pretty much ANY government code, you will find a similar statement to this under Definitions: "Person means an individual, corporation, company, association, firm, partnership, society, joint stock company; or a government, Indian Tribe, or authority of a government or Tribe.."

    Convicted and still get paid, now that`s a messed up sense of entitlement.

    Questions, what does become of campaign funds when the campaign is over? Was Jackson pulling his campaign fund entitlements early?

    Gerry: If unions were people they could be sued for fraud, misfeasance, nepotism, cronyism and the like. But instead they`ve got a free pass, up until recently. Some California non-union teachers are suing the teachers union there for forcing non-union teachers to pay for political activities. This follows the Knox vs SEIU decision in 2012 and may end forced participation in unions across the US.

    Makes my point. A Union is a "society". A collective group of people. So Unions are people. Point made.

    @Gerry1of1

    I wasn`t trying to dispute your `union are people` claim, just commenting on the corporation part of the statement.

    One of the many reasons I do not care to join unions is I don`t care for where they spend my `dues`.
