    How are they risking their lives? And he`s not a fat bastard. A fat bastard is someone who sits next to me on a train and intrudes.

    They are just doing their job very effectively.

    considering the heart attack was his own doing. and that he has blatent disregard for his own health. why was he taken to the hospital? i mean light up a smoke nowaday`s and people will jump on you and compare you to hitler. How much taxpayers money went into this sorry excuse for a human?

    @MrOrange:
    Well, first off, it happened in Germany, so I seriously doubt any of your taxpayer money was involved.

    Furthermore, whether they are saving an obese man or your grandmother, they`re doing their job. They don`t get to pick and choose who is, as you put it, a "sorry excuse for a human". If anything, you are a sorry excuse for a human.

    "i mean light up a smoke nowaday`s and people will jump on you and compare you to hitler."

    Has this actually happened, I mean ever, to anyone, in the history of mankind? (Simpsons episodes don`t count as real life)

    Just out of curiosity, if you were to get cancer, or have any sort of respiratory illness etc (illnesses directly related to your choice to smoke), would you seek medical help?

    I propose a new standard...
    Survival of the Fit-Through-The-Door.
    If they don`t, cut off the food supply until they do.

    @Lordjim, because whilst they are wasting resources, time and effort on this waste of space, there might might be people trapped in a burning building or unable to free themselves for a car wreck.

    Reel `em in.

    What compassion you people show... Wow. What makes you think that it`s ok to say or think that this guy`s life is worth any less than yours or mine? And then to so flippantly say he`s a sorry excuse for a human being and a waste of space? This may not be the type of person you or I find attractive physically, but but he might be an amazing person. Your character flaws are what make you truly ugly!!

    I was prepared to go on a rant about the whole "people who live in glass houses shouldn`t throw stones" and "your morality is shown in how you treat others", etc., blahdey blah...however, I was extremely happy to read that other people did it for me - in particular: paddy215 and PoptartinSD. So thanks to you! I try not to make snap judgements about people whether they are overweight, smoking, drinking or acting like complete asshats - whatever. Until you walk (or crawl) in their place spend a little time trying to remember when your life was ever a symbol of perfection.
    OOPS...guess I went on that rant anyway.

    Well, he was hungry and any one of those brave officers might have lost a finger or arm.

    @elderban
    hmm you calling me a sorry excuse for a human being beucase i called that fat drater a sorry excuse for a human being leads too.. exactly.

    Yeah he is a waste of space. there is no way he can contribute anything to anybody`s live other then ask them to do stuff for him, he really is a Freeloader. that is using up recourses that could be used to help/save someone who actually does something other then hold out his hand (or his mouth open)

    So to all off you Boo sayers. Take a good hard look at your values and ask yourself. would you give benifites to other freeloaders? bet i know the answer to that one...

    @paddy125 as a former smoker i wouldn`t hesitate to ask for healtcare no. i paid for that with every packet i bought (about 85% is tax) where is the tax on food that is bad for your health? where is the mcdeath tax?

    @krabkat.

    My morality in how i treat others?
    Well considering he`s so lazy he refuses to take care of himself so other people are forced to wash him and remove the poo build up from his asscrak, and gets people to do everything for him becuas ehe certianly can`t leave the house. i think i`m doing mighty fine by call him a waste of space. you do see the irony is saying "how you treat others" in this case yeah?

    Ok MrOrange, we get it - you would just as soon let the guy suffer than lift a finger. Point made. But no one asked you to help him and he probably has family that loves him very much. Maybe they do it without complaint. As far as the heart attack being his own fault and why did they take him to the hospital.... So if you were - I dunno - skiing and broke an ankle should we say Oh well, it`s your own fault, you did it to yourself. Let him lay there and suffer. Everyone has a right to live their life the way they choose. So what is your thoughts on the elderly that can`t leave the house or work anymore? The handicapped??? I have a relative that`s in a wheelchair due to a spinal cord injury (a drunk driver hit her). She`s been paralyzed from the chest down for 10 years and can`t even feed herself let alone bathe herself. I guess she`s a waste of space according to you?

    it`s not hard to figure out where i stand.

    This is Selfinflicted.
    no differnt to being a drunk, or a junkie. it`s substance abuse that leads you to become a burden to those around you and not being able to contribute.

    your argument about eldery and realy disabled people holds no water, it`s just a way to try and discredit my point of view by bringing in unrelated argments.

    Would you argue as passionatly for a herione junk?

    @ MrOrange Unless someone is personally harming me, someone I love or another human being then I believe all human life has value. Yes even a heroin junkie.
