Oh, gawd, I just cringed at that poor horse with the broken leg. What a bunch of heartless bastards. "Malheur County" - what an appropriate name, meaning "misfortune" in French.

Animals. Some work for us,some we eat and use their skin to clothe us and we use other parts of them for other things. I don`t have a problem with that.
I do have a problem with needless CRUELTY.
Those guys at that rodeo? I`d skin them, cut them up and P++s on them.

Yeah, the cops are typical country cops but his libretard keeps mixing his animal rights beliefs into the cop story. And that spooky music was melodramatic. When you say things like "Rodeo Mafia" you sound like you`re afraid of clowns...ie stupid.

He undermined his point about the cops mixing his soft headed politics into it.

That guy was belligerent and trying to provoke the police into an action that would cause litigation.

Instead, he got very nice officers who did everything in their power to follow the law.

He refused to show ID at the event, where he was illegally videotaping. He broke the law, and they just told him not to come back. They could have arrested him, but they let him go. Good Guy Sheriffs.

The cops put on a rodeo. So what?! I guarantee you , the cow that they showed in the video with the broken leg (didn`t look broken to me) got slaughtered and one of you ate him (If you live in Oregon lol).

    Gerry,

His animal rights beliefs are already mixed into the cop story. He is being harrassed at the instructions of the rodeo he campaigns against. The cop said as much, before he realised he was recording himself.

Remove that context and the clip is meaningless.

@Lord Jim: The cop never said the rodeo asked the cops to harass him.

The cop said he was asked for ID when he was caught illegally filming the event, so they followed him as he ran.

    AJ,

`... he got very nice officers who did everything in their power to follow the law.`

No, he got two officers who were clearly uncomfortable at pulling the guy over for no good reason other than being told to do so because the rodeo board didn`t like him.

They knew quite well that they were in the wrong and were not happy about it.

Why is it illegal to film at the rodeo?

    In the wrong how?

They felt bad for pulling him over, because they knew he`d file a lawsuit.

they were right for doing it, because he broke the law, period.

Probably because it is a private event, and they, like the officer said, had notices that prohibited filming the event.

"they were right for doing it, because he broke the law, period."

He didn`t break the LAW, he broke a RULE. Huge difference.

He wasn`t `trespassed` at the event, he was asked to leave. Check the video at 2:00.

    AJ,

    From the first vid;

Cop 1: Here`s the problem; they didn`t trespass him when we were there ... they asked him to leave.

Cop 2: Well ... even so, we`re going off what we were told ... I wasn`t there so ...

Cop 1: I didn`t want to stop the man. God, we`re going to get sued.

    Cop 2: Perhaps you`re right.

Cop 1: We`re going to be in a world of hurt here. It`s all because of that rodeo board. You know that, right? Dammit I`m still recording.

That is not the conversation of two cops who are content that they have followed the letter and spirit of the law in pusuance of their duty. Note also that he was asked to leave and left before the cops were involved, the trspassing/ID issue was an afterthought.

    AJ,

What law did he break? The officers certainly never suggested he had broken a law.

From the second vid, starting at 842

`So why are you saying you stopped me again?`

    `Because you didn`t provide ... you didn`t provide ID...`

    `Is that a law?`

`Back there when you were violating the ... the...`

`I wasn`t violating anything. I paid ten dollars to go in.`

`Right past the sign that said no videotaping.`

`You want to look at that camera and see if you can find any video?`

At this point the cop changes the subject and leaves, not taking him up on the offer of checking his camera. Seriously, what law did the guy break?

Police did not ask him for ID at the rodeo, they weren`t even there when he was asked to leave (not accused or charged with trespass, just asked to leave).

    Belligerent? Seriously?

the video of the broken limbs of the horses and cow...just sickening. Wow. I hate seeing animals abused. Many animal rights activists can be kind of extreme though, in their thoughts and actions. This guy may or may not be, I know nothing of him. He is, however, certainly within his rights in these two videos. And the police had no business stopping him whatsoever. Especially since all the rodeo people did was tell him to leave.

You will submit to and obey an officer of the LAW. Do not question their authority.
