That`s not even touching street gangs who BTW if you`ve ever taking a look at them particularly don`t take white folk and aren`t too fond of them.

So because you consider a groups size small they should be ignored... that`s some bright thinking there I`m sure the KKK is brimming with new enrollees........ Typical when presented with a group exactly the same say but but but they`re smaller its like not the same and stuffzzz!!!!

Here ya go add the numbers up to these groups to the NBPP too if it`s numbers you want...

Nation of Islam
Nation of Yahweh
The Israelite Church of God in Jesus Christ
Tribu Ka, GÃnÃration KÃmi SÃba
United Nuwaubian Nation of Moors

"You take the teeth out of the pitbull, then all that`s left to bite you is the chihuahua, with fangs. Poisonous fangs."

No f.ucking clue what that means.

"So. A few thousand members."

Did you even read your own quote from wikipedia?

"the Anti-Defamation League suggest that the group is much smaller"

Unbiased groups estimate their membership at a few hundred. They lie about their own numbers to sound bigger and more important.

Bullpoo HolyGod.

You take the teeth out of the pitbull, then all that`s left to bite you is the chihuahua, with fangs. Poisonous fangs.

"As of 2009, the NBPP claimed a few thousand members organized in 45 chapters, while independent estimates by the Anti-Defamation League suggest that the group is much smaller but is nevertheless able to attract a large turnout of non-members (some of whom may not even realize what this group actually stands for) to its events by focusing on specific issues of local interest."

So. A few thousand members, with many more thousands that are non members turning out to hear their message.

Hilarious right? You post about a huge, racist, violent group that has been in this country for a couple centuries, had millions of members, killed thousands of people, and held positions of extreme power and the righties say the black panthers are JUST as bad because a guy stood in front of a polling place 5 years ago and some racist a.ssholes made a hate speech in a basement.

The New Black Panther Party has, what, 150 members? Come on, guys. For real. I mean, black people make up about 12%, total, of our population. And you`re talking about, seriously, 150-200 members of the NBPP. And you`re actually going to come on here and act like they`re in any way (other than idiocy) equivalent to the KKK? You`re seriously doing that? They make you *that* uncomfortable, do they, that you have to make up blatant lies? Wow. That`s just sad.

"Explain to me how that one guy is a national news story worthy of being mentioned 5 years later, or how it showcases how powerful or widespread the black panthers are?"

Because it happened in 2012 in more than just the one polling place. It happened all over Philly, and Republican monitors were even expelled from some polling stations, and the fed did nothing. Holder dismissed it.

That is shockingly disgusting. Who is that? Where is that?

I guess the difference in my mind is that this is just talk. The kkk has a history of ACTUALLY killing people.

I`m not sure what you posted that for.

I`m familiar with the incident. It was one guy in front of one polling place. He shouldn`t have had a night stick. He was removed.

Explain to me how that one guy is a national news story worthy of being mentioned 5 years later, or how it showcases how powerful or widespread the black panthers are?

I don`t suspect you will actually watch the video, so here`s a bit of the transcript.

CITIZEN: we got a phone call that there was intimidation going on. i walked up to the door, two gentlemen in black panther guard, one brandishing a nightstick, standing in front of the door. they closed ranks as i walked up. i am a veteran, that does not scare me. i went inside and found full- watchers, they said they had been here for an hour — i went inside and found poll-watchers, they said that they had said not to let people outside because black people are going to win no matter what. at that point, i spoke to him, we would not get into a fistfight, i said, and i called the police.

CITIZEN: anyone who is not going their way, i do not know. someone in front of a polling place with a nightstic

"Armed with clubs and intimidating voters all of whcih Obama and Holder ignored people persuing charges of intimidation for geee wonder why...."

One guy had a billy club. He was being "intimidating" by being black and dressed in black. I`m totally sure that if I, a white guy, stood outside a poll with a baseball bat, it would be national news on Fox and Breitbart and people would post it on the internet for 5 years.

Yes that was Obama`s plan, have two guys in front of one polling place to win the election.

Because people only see what they want to fit their ideals.

@HG: not sure if trolling, or..
Or both.

There are numerous videos of NBBP calling out to "kill the whitey, kill his women, kill his children" and similar.

Remember the bounty on Zimmermans head? Remember the death threats? They are just as extremist as the KKK, if not even more.

"The NBPP, in PUBLIC, have called for a race war."

Have you listened to that? First of all they are saying they are ALREADY in a war and they are calling for fighting back. I`m not saying I necessarily agree with them. Second of all, if you BELIEVE they are calling for a race war on April 9th, then how powerful are they? How did that race war go on April 9?

I mean, I live in the middle of Alabama. I know where a NBPP meeting place is. It`s in a building on a major street, clearly marked with signage and window lettering in downtown Birmingham.

I couldn`t tell you where a KKK meeting place is, or that I know a KKK member. I can see a few hundred NBPP members every Saturday at that meeting place.

HolyGod: The NBPP, in PUBLIC, have called for a race war.

They advocate violence, on a larger national public stage. The KKK for the most part has faded away to the backwoods and rural areas.

The membership issue could be simply the fact that the organization is older. I have no idea why really, but I do know the NBPP is more visible, by a long shot.

"The KKK today, and the NBPP of today are the same."

In addition while the KKK may no longer do those activities or have that power the membership today obviously feels like that past is good or they wouldn`t have joined the organization. They are vaguely emulating it. There are plenty of other racial organizations one can join.

The NBP is trying to emulate the black panthers, which I don`t find particularly evil in comparison.

The NBP is a powerless, meaningless organization trotted out by conservative media to scare white people. Look at that photo McGovern posted. TWO GUYS standing in front of ONE POLLING PLACE and it was national news that caused a frenzy and is STILL be using today, 5 YEARS LATER.

"The KKK today, and the NBPP of today are the same."

The anti-defamation League estimates KKK membership at up to 8,000 and NBP membership at less than 1,000.

Go to the black panther party website and read their platform. Is there anything there you find particularly offensive?

Now go read the KKK`s manifesto.

You are comparing a group that is fighting for the rights of an oppressed minority to a group that fights to oppress that and other minorities.

How the f.uck do you see that as the same?

HolyGod: You are missing the point entirely.

The KKK today, and the NBPP of today are the same.

Not the KKK of the late 1800`s/Early 1900`s. Not the BPP of the 60`s/70`s.

Today, they are the same, and arguably, the NBPP has more power, and is more evil.

"ROFL!! I think it`s funny you can`t see they`re exactly the same."

Yes, because the black panthers rode around setting lawns on fire, stringing up random white people, and bombing churches. The black panthers had membership that reached 6 million. The black panthers had members that were congressmen and senators.

Saying the KKK is like the black panthers is like saying a mexican drug cartel is like a high school kid that sells some weed once in a while.

I don`t want you to take this the wrong way, but I genuinely believe you are the stupidest person I have ever had contact with on the internet.

That is terrifying. They stood somewhere WHILE being black?

So out of hundreds of thousands of polling places, two guys stood outside of 1? Jesus Christ the black panthers are about to take over the country, buy some more guns!

"The reason why you do not hear much about it is because anytime anything negative is said about a black group, it becomes a big racist ordeal. When someone says the same for a white group, it is perfectly fine."

SmagBoy1 - They are the black version of the KKK. They are both filled with the same amount of hatred, racism, and stupidity.

The New Black Panthers are calling for blacks to arm themselves and start a violent race war just like the KKK are doing for the whites.

The reason why you do not hear much about it is because anytime anything negative is said about a black group, it becomes a big racist ordeal. When someone says the same for a white group, it is perfectly fine.

I am not racist, I am simply stating facts. I implore you look it up because it is quite interesting. Just remember to look up the NEW Black Panthers rather than simply the Black Panthers.

They remind me of some of my local bike gangs: A mixture of fat middle-aged would-be bad-ass bitchin` grandmother-farkers and spotty ill-educated slope-heads with inbred characteristics. Most of them are harmless, some of them are nice and they take mum to the pub for sunday lunch, but deeply embedded in their heads are groundless prejudices.

No, LadyMorgue, please give me a freakin` break! The size, membership, influence of the groups is so vastly different as to not even count as the same thing--at all. You must be awfully uncomfortable to even *try* to make that ridiculous comparison. Sure, the ideologies of the groups are comparable if you buy into the false logic that the groups are.

@Holy God Of course it`s funny that people associate the KKK with the Black Panthers but it`s realistic to associate them with the New Black Panthers which is admittedly very detrimental to the "equal rights" that the Black Panthers fought so hard for.

So sad that moronic groups like this, regardless of race, exist.
