That is really crappy. I don`t know who to be more pissed at...the BS policy makers/cops OR the nosy ass neighbors who reported the shelter.

Be a good little worker-drone, follow orders and policy no matter how senseless, unjust or illegal. If you meet any opposition, fear for your life or safety- that gives you license to shoot the hell out of everybody.

I understand the law was probably meant to prevent people from just keeping wildlife but wow, can you be more heartless in interpreting the law? Why not just release back into the wild? If needed, raise it enough to release. What`s the point of euthanizing right away?

Careful what you say, man! They`ll start euthanizing abused kids next!

They were ALL a bunch of dlcks. As far as I`m concerned it`s the nosy neighbors who deserve that title the most. It was their meddling that led to this.

Agreed. Especially since this wasn`t just people keeping wildlife. It was an animal shelter protecting a vulnerable baby animal that was scheduled for transfer to another, more appropriate, shelter.

Sounds like they got too hung up on following the exact letter of the law to actually think. Couldn`t they have been like "hey, you`re transferring the deer tomorrow? Okay, we`ll be back the day after tomorrow to make sure it`s gone. Have a nice day."

We are becoming a totalitarian police state expressing itself in all kinds of ways big and small and nobody seems to care very much.
