England created America, like a vagina creates a beautiful baby. The vagina...I mean england, is left battered, torn, and weak. While the baby grows up to be awesome and powerful, like Chuck Norris!

That`s not unlike being in the supermarket and hearing an anouncement over the pa, to come and collect some fat screaming kid at the service desk.

Condoms, some guy invented them for a reason...

turdburglar - Or in the case of America, an ignorant, arrogant, self-centered little ****. You`d like to think America is the "Chuck Norris of the World", but you`re really the stroppy teenager who is currently going through that awkward transition.

The rest of the world is just doing its best to ignore it, however, but it just keeps trying to yell louder and louder until someone bothers to listen.

Really? Okay. I`m in the part of it that`s still in the sullen I shouldn`t have gone to this party. I don`t know anyone here I was only invited cause I have a car and no curfew. They`re all acting like non-nice individuals to me to prove to themselves how cool they are to each other. Later I`m gonna have to haul their drunk asses home. And the little lightweights aren`t gonna give me any gas money.

LOL Bremir, you don`t get it do you? Americans are some of the only people who show their national pride in jest. They`re not really being that serious when they say, "`MERICA CLUCK YEAH". You don`t get that? It`s a joke shared among all Americans.

Seriously, I think other countries might just not get it. Our `nationalism` must be the biggest inside joke ever.

"Nobody needs America, until they need America"

"Don`t worry world, `Murica is here." (An obvious and cliche form of the national inside joke that you apparently don`t get)

Let`s not forget, England gave us slavery, and we still get blamed for it, even though a half million of us died to end it.

@OldOllie England gave you slavery? England also realised that slavery was a bit of a no-no about 100 years before those United States did and didn`t find it necessary to fight a bloody war to come to that conclusion. Great Britain established a Royal Naval squadron to patrol off the west coast of Africa purely to intercept slave ships and emancipate slaves. At one point, the West Africa squadron used a sixth of the Royal Navy fleet and Marines. Considering the British Empire had the largest navy in the world then, that`s a hell of a commitment to getting rid of slavery, and for no financial gain (a massive financial loss, actually). The humanitarian gains were huge, however- between 1808 and 1860 the West Africa Squadron captured 1,600 slave ships and freed 150,000 Africans. I imagine you`re not taught such things over there, because the British Empire was evil, etc etc.

@ OldOllie - Did England invent slavery? Instead of trying to shift the blame on to mother england, it would be better if everyone was more pragmatic about the origins of this trade (africa). the people involved in the trade from europe and america was only the tiniest of fractions. Whereas, in parts of Africa, slavery was/is inherently ingrained within the culture.

I`ve got bad news for you England supported the Confederacy during the Civil War. It played a big part in Lincoln creating the emancipation proclimation.A way to tell you that you were being hypocritical s**tballs.

FredSuperman, that`s really really really, incredibly dumb to say. First, the British "Slavery Abolition Act of 1833" was in...1833, so about 30 years from the Civil War, not 100. Also, this act did not emancipate slaves in territories owned by the East India Company (the majority of the British Empire`s population).

The Europeans gave us slavery. That`s just a fact. A majority of the history of slavery in America was under British rule - about 150 years. Meanwhile, slavery continued for about 70 years under the US constitution, a document designed to ensure slavery would be phased out (3/5 clause ensured this, as well as abolition of slave trade).

You`re extremely patriotic about a time where you owned the land and people of 25% of the world`s surface.

Meanwhile, the British Empire supported the Confederacy. You see, they liked to benefit from American slavery without getting involved in the mess themselves. Our cheap cotton helped them make textiles, a big industry in Britain. And actually there was a financial gain for them to intercept slave ships bound for Brazil and Spanish colonies - they were financial competition with their Caribbean colonies. You see, slave labor drove down the cost of Spanish and Caribbean goods and it was difficult to compete.

Yeah, or the British Empire of the 1800`s that owned 25% of the world was just that noble.

First concentration camps in the world - brought to you by the British Empire.

@Spuds England also realised that slavery was a bit of a no-no about 100 years before those United States did...
Really? So, why didn`t they abolish it in THEIR colony before we declared independence?

@som-tam, of course, you are absolutely correct. Whites didn`t enslave blacks; they simply bought blacks who had already been enslaved by other blacks. That makes them an accessory to an abominable crime, but not actually the original perpetrators of it.

Still the facts are, England brought most of the slaves to America, and they didn`t end the slave trade, let alone free the slaves already here, while the Colonies were still under their control.

(Note the date, and tell me why the US should be blamed for this.)

@McGovern "If there be those who would not save the Union unless they could at the same time destroy slavery, I do not agree with them. My paramount object in this struggle is... not... to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it...." Abraham Lincoln

@Andrew155 Saying "that`s really really really, incredibly dumb to say" is a rather stupid thing to say. Somerset v Stewart (1772) 98 ER 499 is a famous judgment of the English Court of King`s Bench in 1772 which held that slavery was unsupported by existing law in England and Wales. Now that wasn`t hard to look up, was it?

Honestly, UK and US are both a load of toss. Both are essentially morally bankrupt, both have invaded countless places they really had no business going, both have perpetrated war crimes and both have ego`s the size of a nuclear payload.

And Canada`s not even much better. Hell at this point even Japan is better than all of us. Let that sink in for a moment.
