@sosueme1966, hopefully. I really don`t mean to be mean but getting people to start doing `the right thing` (even if only because they`re being videotaped) is a start. I choose to be optimistic and am hoping that those guys would have paid even if there hadn`t been cameras.

Am I the only person that takes points away because they obviously knew they were on camera?

Freddy- Don`t get me wrong. It`s great that the company is thanking them and not trying to press trespassing charges or something. I just think it was a "you never can tell" moment. If something was truly wrong and hostages were being held in the back or the employee had been kidnapped these same men would be slammed by the media for not calling 911 as a precaution.Even if they made their purchase and then reported it as a "just in case" I think all bases would have been covered. Personally I think it`s quite refreshing to see something positive in the media for a change and hope others will follow suit.

"The security issue at the store has since been fixed"

So I guess that means they locked the door?

Shannon, I disagree. Once something similar happened to me, it just didn`t make the news. I went into a store that was all lit up, doors unlocked. It was one I had been in before and the clerks were sometimes in the back for a while. I looked around, found what I wanted, called out for help, left some money and left. I found out later that they had actually changed the time they close and were closed when I was there, they just forgot to lock the door. I had no idea they were closed, these guys didn`t know either.

The store didn`t have to do anything, but they wanted to say thanks for doing the right thing and not just stealing stuff because nobody was around. I see nothing wrong with them wanting to thank these guys.

Granted it`s great that these guys didn`t steal anything but what should be pointed out is, they entered a store that was unlocked, the lights were on but yet there were no employee`s present. They should have walked out of the store and called 911. For all they knew a crazy person could have had the employee`s held at gunpoint in a back store room.

I saw a girl passed out in a bar last week. I didn`t rape her. Where`s my gift card?

Not to be the bearer of bad news but...

Wouldn`t be a violation of NCAA rules for them to accept the gift cards?

Good story, though. Wish we had more news like this.
