#22, Maybe I should read the book, but I only saw the movie, she`s crazy enough to be one, but certainly wasn`t in the movie.

"That`s also a valid interpretation. I prefer the satire on society concept over the "this dude`s a nutter" interpretation though. Either way, Bateman shouldn`t be on the list."

The reason I don`t agree with your interpretation, even though lots of people have it, is the police car. When he shoots the police car it explodes like in one of his "video tapes". To me that was an in-ambiguous sign that he was imagining it. That doesn`t happen in real life.

Buffalo Bill, Norman Bates, and Leather Faced are all based on real life serial killer Ed Gein. Can you imagine the monster of those 3 pyschos all rolled into one man?!

LordJim, it was in the movie. He finds the scrapbook of her trophies and newspaper articles about her killings.

In the book (can`t remember if it`s in the film) as a nurse she used to enjoy killing elderly patients by messing with their life support.

A fine suggestion @fantasoix! @Mods?
I suppose I could just turn it off and go outside...
Hahaha! No, that`s not happening...
Pennywise isn`t even human, and the same case could be made for Freddy, Chucky, and Jason.
Excellent point @Ston! If we allow non-humans, why not Godzilla? Cloverfield? Triffids? Dracula???

I wish they would list them with #1 last, like a big build up...ok maybe it`s not that exciting.
Dexter should be #1.

"Tom Ripley only killed one person. Just sayin."

No. In the movie he kills Dickie and Freddie. In the novels he kills eight more people.

You`re incorrect. Just sayin.

Tom Ripley only killed one person. Just sayin.

Also this list is all kinds of wrong. Pennywise? Really? Pennywise was a f___ing alien. Aliens kill people. That`s what they do.

Usually when someone creates a list they give some info or reasons why they feel the items need to be added. This is a just some pictures with numbers including characters who are not serial killers.

Pennywise does not count, he never is acknowledged for killing anyone and is the epitome of fear. In part 2 when they go back to find him and he is a giant spider. Therefore it cannot be a serial killer.

"The woman from Misery wasn`t a serial killer, just a deranged fan." -Zismo

Ah, but in the book (can`t remember whether this was in the movie as well) Annie Wikes killed many of her patients when she was a nurse. One might call her an "Angel of Death".

"Quite a few of these aren`t serial killers. They`re mass murderers or spree killers."

Which ones? There are a few characters here I`m not familiar with, but all the ones I am familiar with have a cooling off period between killings. That is what separates a serial killer from a spree killer or mass murderer.

"Bateman shouldn`t even be on the list... the point of the movie is that he`s terrible at it, but society (or at least the corporate business world) is so messed up that he can practically, and at one point literally, get away with it by accident."

No. He shouldn`t be on the list because he imagined everything and never actually killed anybody.

"Anton Sugar from No Country For Old Men"

Are we counting hitmen as serial killers?

I always though serial killers were people for whom the killing was the motivation, not people who kill for money or power.

Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs was played by Ted Levine, best known as Captain Stottlemyre from the TV show Monk, which always made me laugh when I watched Monk. I always imagined Captain Stottlemyre saying "It puts the lotion in the basket!"

Tim Curry astounds me..how the hell he managed to go from Pennywise on `IT` to Satan on `Legend` and then to Rocky Horror Picture Show and Muppet Treasure Island I will never know.

side note: Muppet Treasure Island > Pirates of the Carribean

On a side note- Would it be possible to switch up the "I-Am-Bored`s Must See Photo Galleries:"? It`s always the same children groping a woman`s breast or a bad tattoo or a handful of other images that are etched into my brain.

I suppose I could just turn it off and go outside...
