What`s Going On With Schools These Days? [Pic]

This was on a permission slip for a field trip. Is this the fault of the system or the sue happy parents?

I don`t see whats wrong with this.
It is perfect!
Being in nature IS ALWAYS BETTER than being in a drab, cold, boring, classroom. Might motivate you kids to learn more.

Even beyond telling parents to dress their child appropriately, they are, in a somewhat tongue-in-cheek manner, telling parents that they are going to provide their child with a positive experience. I.e. get them away from computers and T.V., and out into nature and the "real" world. Oh, and by the way, they might get dirty and wet in the process.

If you have any doubt about this, read the last bullet point.

They forgot: Get their dick cut off by a snapping turtle.

I hate when that happens.

This is the pathetic life we live now
blame the insurance companies
they are responsible for closing down every little enjoyable thing going AND WE fall for it

Yeah...stupid parents is what is going on with schools these days. They have to tip toe on glass around parents. They (parents) are why I won`t be a teacher...not to mention sh*t pay.

It is getting to the point that a permission slip will be a 250 page legal contract drafted by lawyers.
I agree with Swaywithme; I don`t think it`s meant to be a warning so much as "FYI, your kids are going to get wet and muddy, so plan for that".
I also agree with Swaywithme and dreambrother. QFT.

This doesn`t seem like a big deal at all; just telling the parents that their kids are going to get dirty, so dress them appropriately.

Assuming of course that the parents can read.

Sue-happy parents, most definitely.

Seems really dumb, but I guess it`s just a polite way to remind parents to dress their kids accordingly.
