Obama, meet Bush. Bush, meet Obama. I think you two might have a lot on common than you first thought...
George W. Bush didn`t have to bother articulating this fantastically incorrect little statement, because he had it emblazoned across a massive banner hung behind him as he proudly grandstanded on the deck of an aircraft carrier. Bush was announcing what his administration called the end of `major combat operations` in Iraq.
That is a despicable Democrat lie. He was honoring the crew of the USS Abraham Lincoln for accomplishing THEIR mission. The banner was requested by their commanding officer. Those brave men and women earned that honor by flying the most combat sorties in the longest continuous deployment of a carrier group in history, and they were instrumental in defeating the Iraqi military and the toppling of Saddam Husein.

Every time liberals tell this lie, they are pissing in the faces of the brave men and women who served in that carrier group.

@turdy: In his speech? Yes he was. The banner was put up by the ship`s crew & referred to their ship`s mission being accomplished.
It was WAY later he started to claim he was referring to the ship`s mission.
Yes, after the MSM started slandering him? His "media team" did what it`s supposed to do: provide the truth. (Well, that`s the THEORY! LOLZ!)
Make your own decisions,
I read the MSM reports (and there were PLENTY of them!) and I read the transcript of his entire speech (It`s pretty long! But not bad. Very "Gung-Ho" which is entirely appropriate for the location, eh?)
I did make up my own mind, thx for asking!

There`s PLENTY of reasons to dislike Bush II. No need to invent fake ones...

Everyone knows he was a POS. You are just blindly following the republican agenda. Make your own decisions, not what your party tells you to think.

Don`t worry @pazerlenis, he will be!
Who comes up with these subject lines?
Um, @FancyLad perhaps? just a --wild guess-- eh?

"Mission Accomplished" referred to that SHIP which was hours from home after a long Tour Of Duty. It did NOT in any way refer to the Iraq Conflict. In the following speech Bush II made MANY references to how the Iraq conflict was FAR FROM OVER even though these sailors had done their part.

LBJ = hypocrite
Nixon = crook
Clinton = Liar AND hypocrite
Bush I = wrong. It was just a DUMB thing to say! Plain and simple.

Whoever did that article doesn`t know what hypocrisy is. Hypocrisy is the state of pretending to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that one does not actually have. The only arguable example on his list is Bush I, pretending to be staunchly against taxes when he wasn`t. Bush II wasn`t hypocritical, he was wrong. LBJ and Clinton were lying. Nixon lacked self awareness. Obama pretending to hate the Patriot Act because it was totalitarian when he, if anything, thought it wasn`t totalitarian enough was hypocritical.

So why is Obama`s pic in an article that doesn`t include him? You have to be a liar to be president.
