Roddenberry was a genius. Quite a few of the sci fi writers really had things pegged, but he was at the top of the list.

    Scotty predicts Transparent Aluminum

Today - transparent aluminum armor or aluminum oxynitride (ALON) as it`s more commonly known. ALON is a ceramic material that starts out as a powder before heat and pressure turn it into a crystalline form similar to glass. Once in the crystalline form, the material is strong enough to withstand bullets. Polishing the molded ALON strengthens the material even more. The Air Force has tested the material in hopes of replacing windows and canopies in its aircraft. Transparent aluminum armor is lighter and stronger than bulletproof glass.

I`d debate you on the Google Glasses/"The Game" issue. The game was self contained, it didn`t access outside information like the control glasses in DS9. The game headset was more akin to virtual reality glasses, and still totally cool. I just don`t think they`re the same as GG.

Freddy, might be a bit of a stretch, but google glasses are only good for games {or watchign porn in business meetings} so... same thing in essence.

What I`ve read is that they can do more by connecting to your phone via Bluetooth. You can get directions, weather, etc. I`m not going to find out anytime soon with the price tag they`re sporting.

Should read "Ahead of its time."

    Not "Ahead of it`s time."

    It`s means `it is.`

    Its is the possessive.

    You`re welcome.
