I knew a guy who had a pet raven with a busted wing. Went everywhere with him. Sat on his shoulder like a pirate with a parrot. He`d jumped off when he`d sit down. Cool as hell.

Very cool, poor thing- that will teach it to avoid porcupines. I love corvids...

Aww. That warmed my heart. Loved it. Now, if you`ll excuse me, it`s time to listen to The Chronic since the video recommendations had that up after the video was over.

Mr. Raven, what are the chances you`ll be dining again on porcupine roadkill?

@ Naz14: The woman pulling the quills later said that it was like removing a splinter from a small child`s hand: the raven wanted the help but was also squawking and nervous about the pain (as you can see in the video). Apparently, the raven had landed on the fence and made a ruckus for an hour until the humans investigated and found out what it wanted. After the quills were removed, it hung around for a day, enjoyed a dog food dinner, was given the name "Wilfred"--and then flew off the next morning.

Truly a magical encounter.

I love birds :) Ravens are especially awesome! Its fun to see they know humans can help rather than just be an enemy!
