You`re right there. It was completely invalid and not the least bit funny before I ever commented on it. Nothing I said had any effect on that.

@5Cats - The list of "935 Lies" are not from "being wrong" or "bad intel." All of that was disregarded by the people who did that study. They focused on lies that were told for the run-up to the war meant to deceive the public in order to get support for the war.

Fair enough, Ollie. And likely true! Doesn`t make the post any less valid or less funny, though. ;-)

White House Lies About Benghazi

There`s a difference between "being wrong" and "bare faced lying" eh? Or has @WhoDat never done EITHER in his life? (and thus wouldn`t know...)

So the evil Bush got the British to lie for him too? Amazing for "a monkey" eh?
And Saddam DID HAVE WMDs that were "unaccounted for"! It`s a fact! They MIGHT have been there? Or gone? Who knows because he KICKED OUT THE UN INSPECTORS!
He DID have a "nuclear program", although Israel blew his reactor to smithereens...
These are facts, not lies.
Long and short of it: The UN had EVERY right to re-invade after years of violations of the Cease-Fire treaty. PERIOD.
"Selling it" to the American public is called "propaganda", not "lies"...
You`re an Army Guy, you ought to KNOW that

@RoboPatton,
I`m not absolutely sure that analogy works here but I`m sure as hell going to try to use it somewhere!

@randomxnp: it`s a waste of time to respond to insanity with rationality. Facts mean nothing to the insane. Proven reality means nothing. It`s all about faith in the unseen. Rationality has no place in that kind of world. Shaming the hypocrisy is the only thing that seems to work. Driving them into their shadows of bigotry and hypocrisy is the only way to rid us of them and their bigoted, discriminatory influence.

OldOllie,
What I said was, "He did kind of propagate the lie about weapons of mass destruction."
That`s still true. Don`t be an a$$ just because he was GOP.

But that`s not what you said. That`s what makes you a liar.

@5Cats - Yeah, you got me, they never did say anything about those embassy attacks.

They were too busy lying about Iraq...
approximately 935 times.

But no one died because of those lies right?

5Cats,
The first part of that comment is certainly true. Also certainly true is that it applies equally to the second part of that comment. Knee-jerk support of the Democratic party is inappropriate. Knee-jerk support of the Republican party is equally inappropriate. As with everything else in life, there are good and bad people in all places. Also, good people sometimes do wrong things with the best of intentions. The war in Iraq was wrong. It may have been done with good intentions but it was wrong. And it was illegal. It`s happened before, yes. Done by the other party, I believe, yes. But no less wrong for all that. Newt Gingrich screamed about Clinton`s infidelity while he, himself, was cheating on his wife (his 2nd wife, with whom he`d been cheating on his 1st wife previously, by the way). That fact didn`t make Clinton`s infidelty any less wrong. And what you don`t like about Obama doesn`t make what Bush did any less wrong.

@broisfam: There`s a BIG difference between saying what you think (and others tell you) is the truth.
WMDs: They found a few, but most were inside Syria by the time the 2nd invasion came. Saddam had over a year with NO ONE to stop him from hiding them.
Benghazi: A pre-planned terror attack on the anniversary of 9/11. Obama and his cronies lied about it for WEEKS even though they KNEW THE FACTS on day zero! They still tried to lie their way out of taking the blame.

THAT is worse than a simple lie. THAT in Clinton-like Perjury...

OldOllie,
By the way, it was known that he had had WMDs at one time, considering that he GASSED HIS OWN PEOPLE. As I said, it was an awful government. The question was whether or not he STILL had them. He said he didn`t, remember? That`s what the inspectors were there for, checking the veracity of that claim.

OldOllie,
Not B.S. He just had company. Remember..."Both sides are to blame". But GW went in with guns blazing. Personally, I think we needed soldiers there but I think we needed them there to protect the weapons inspectors, not to illegally take down
the government of a sovereign nation, as awful as I believe that government was.

5Cats,
He did kind of propagate the lie about weapons of mass destruction. An issue which has unnecessarily cost thousands and thousands of lives and huge great gobs of tax dollars. Does that make something else okay? Hell no! Both sides blame the other side for everything. Both sides are to blame, though, since they`ve both forgotten that compromise for the benefit of the people is the way to go, rather than stand fast for the benefit of the party.

@randomxnp: Zing!
It`s true though: The "IAB Liberal Brigade" had to wait for "official notice" before they could form an opinion on what they unbiasedly believed in or not...

Oh, except: Bush Did It! Which always has the "Green Light" eh?

There`s a few standard issue "beliefs":
"That`s racist!"
"It`s a vast, right wing conspiracy"
"Republicans do it too!"
"It depends on what the meaning of "it" is..."

@WhoDat: Did Bush tell LIES about it for weeks? No?
Did he instruct others to lie for him too? No?
Did he watch them die on LIVE SATELITE FEED and do nothing for SEVEN HOURS? No?

Your point? It has eluded yourself...
