She ought to walk into the bank with a TV station camera crew; place the president under citizen`s arrest for breaking and entering, burglary, vandalism, and grand theft; put him in cable-tie cuffs; march him out at gunpoint; and take him down to the sheriff`s office (the city cops have already proven that they`re corrupt).

For the life of me I couldn`t understand why the people at the bank just couldn`t admit to the mistake and make things right. Now they`ve put the integrity of the whole bank in jeopardy and for what?

The local LEO`s washing their hands of the matter? WTF?

To those who are complaining about deregulation:

A bank accidentally raids the wrong house and take your property. You fight a legal battle which you will ultimately win. It sucks, but at least there is some recourse.

On the other hand, the government raids the wrong house and you get shot.

Yea, let`s totally go with government controlling these things instead of simply ensuring fairness. I`m sure fighting the IRS, DEA, or USDA is a complete joy.

take the bill to a lawyer, add 3 "000" to the end of the final figure and go to court for compensation.

Gerry, the music from S02E03 beginning at 17:31 is what made me want to watch that series (more like 18:00.)

Then, it ended...

my bank once took money out of my account and never gave it to me - I told them if I didn`t have the money back in my account quick I would pull all my money out, swap banks and out them to every media source I could...money was returned to me shortly.

"Greed" doesn`t make people stupid. Stupid makes them stupid. Someone didn`t pay their mortgage. The bank send stupid clerks out to foreclose The Stupids got the wrong address and seized everything in the house and sold it.

1: Fire the Stupids.
2: Make right with the wronged homeowner.
3: Foreclose on the right house.

I`d burn down the nearest branch as soon as possible. Revenge must be taken or my nerves would be shot. Consequences be dammed.

My bank messed up one time and put my money in someone else`s account, and it took 3 weeks for them to finally get it sorted out...I was very livid and upset about it..This by far trumps over what happened to me, and I thought what happened to me was horrible. Geeez

I think We as a people sue too often, but this woman needs to not only be compensated for her belongings, but for her sentimental possessions and time spent dealing with the banks lack of competence. Why does a bank, just a business, seem to have immunity. I`m getting your jist, leftys.

I saw this on the news. And then the idiots didn`t want to give her a cash settlement for her possessions. I`d be suing to own the freaking bank!

My roommate`s parents lost their home that they owned outright, with no mortgage, to a bank that foreclosed on them.

This country is messed up, man.

There`s a word for someone who breaks into your house and takes your stuff without paying for it. Its called "burglary". If I were the woman, I would absolutely press charges. I would press charges against the idiot who can`t read an address right, and I would sue the bank into bankruptcy for not returning my possessions, or not paying to have them replaced.

Um, how`s about arresting the repo guy(s) for burglery, and the banker for conspiracy.
As well, check into the banks repo history to see if this is indeed the first bad repo- if it ain`t, tack on federal rico charges.
Oh I forgot, while banks and corporations ARE people, they are seemingly immune to all but the most benign penalties.

This wouldn`t even take a "good" lawyer to bleed them dry. I read in another report that she has never done business with them. I have no idea why the board of directors haven`t already tossed that president out on the sidewalk.

I think she`s going to have to sue but, there not a jury on the planet that wouldn`t side with her.

I also think entering the wrong house can be seen as a criminal act.

I wonder if Bubba Repo has some kind of business insurance for this sort of thing.
