Pretty lame? And this critique is coming from someone who lives in Texas and thinks it is South America?

@lauriloo: Yup! There`s different kinds of lightning. And it`s more complicated than we used to imagine.

"ball lightning" is amazing! I`ve seen it only once...

Amazing stuff there
I saw a lightning strike a skip outside my factory years ago, hit the skip, all I saw was brilliant white, and heard massive buzzing, for a split second, the ground shook, and the skip skittered 20 foot. me and a old guy Sid ran like feckery !!

I remember a long time ago I had learned that lightning goes from the ground up from high speed, but slower than this, film. Guess that`s the "return stroke" they were talking about.

If we could capture that energy, store it long-term, it would change the world. Free or almost free energy would break the chains of energy dependance worldwide.

But alas "Capturing lightning in a bottle" is a pipe dream for now.

1:57 The "guides" or little lightnings that SLOWLY (in comparison!) travel towards the ground? Those are so cool!

Amazing how it stays "crooked" eh?
