Loving the chair across the river instructions. One of you will have to swim across, but that`s not dangerous at all.

Oh for the days of acceptable risks...

They still work. Scouts today don`t know they`re born. When I was a scout mad dogs, runaway horses, quicksand and flooded rivers were just part of daily life.

These days you can get a merit badge for uploading a clip to Youtube. In my day you had to suck out viper venom from a stricken comrade. Or at least practice with the scoutmaster.

These are pretty good. The fire extinguisher, especially. Ill probably prepare a few of those fore the house.

Another good one is the old timey refridgerator. Works really well, particularly in hot weather. Get a ceramic pot, fill the bottom with sand. Put another ceramic pot into the pot, supported by the sand base. FIll the edge in with sand, to the top. Pour water - salt water is fine - into the sand until its at the top. Cover the pot with a wet rag. The inside of the central pot will cool down and you can store meat and stuff in it. Just be sure to refill the water.
