    Every era has it`s good points...and it`s negative ones.

    1983 saw us suffer through a new disease called GRID {later renamed AIDS} and even worse we suffered through Hall & Oats singing "Maneater" ...who-oh here she comes...

    Good movies like Return of the Jedi.... but also JAWS 3D {shudder}

    Also, personal note, 1983 was the year I got out of the Marine Corps and didn`t have to worry about going to prison for being gay...as long as I stayed out of Texas. It was still illegal to be gay in many states back then.

    Times change.

    That`s a sobering thought, Gerry.

    1983 saw me sat mostly on my arse playing computer games on my newly acquired zx spectrum.

    When magazines gave out free games....by printing the entire game code and letting you sit for days typing it in on a little rubber keyboard.

    Not a single one of today`s songs will be known in 30 years time. Hell, I don`t even know them now.

    I remember that! The very first one I did was out of Mad Magazine. In the end, it drew a picture of Alfred E. Newman. I was hooked after that. It was fixing my coding that tought me how the code worked and consequently was responsible for me learning about computers and coding. Granted, you were pretty limited on what the computer could do back then. my computer, at the time, was a Timex Sinclair 2000. I even had the 16k ram pack added on that cost as much as the computer itself. That`s right...16k.

    Sadly, the same thing may be true of our music. I used to teach guitar. I would occasionally reference a Beatles song and half the time the response would be "Who are The Beatles?".

    35 million people that are neither male nor female today
    -33 million non gendered people in the past.

    And increase of 68 million!

    My god, I have found the source of over population! Where do I sign up for the nobel prize.
