I`ve been a fan of Kids React for years. Listening to these guys restores faith in the next generation. Not one of them even understood what the trouble was about.

Seriously, if the US is complaining about this ad in this day and age you really are more f****d up than I suspected you were.

Whilst I applaud the message of the vid, I don`t really like how these types of vids are put together and marketed.

They`re always edited and only ever show kids saying the message the makers wanted to get across.

For any vid like this to be truly inspiring, they need to just point a camera at a seat, shoot & show the whole end-to-end footage of ALL the kids that took part, not just edited shots of the ones that said what they wanted.

For instance, how do we know from watching this that they`d not interviewed 50 kids, and only 5 had expressed the same views of the video makers and hence were the ones shown?

Why is this controversial? Is it because it is sexist suggesting that men are unhealthy and lazy?

Kids are generally liberal until their parents beat the conservative into them.

listy, the fine brothers usually use the same kids over and over again. They dont just go out and find a group of random children every time.

Listypoos makes an excellent point. I`d like to think they showed kids with the average response. It would show that, to a large extent, prejudice is something that is taught, whether purposefully or not. At least it shows us that there are still intelligent, accepting kids in the world. I hope they stay that way.

    @broizfam and listypoos--
They didn`t go out and pick a bunch of random kids for this video...this is an ongoing series, where they pose different topics for kids to respond to. I`ve seen a couple episodes before and at least a couple of those kids look familiar. So as far as I can tell, they use the same kids for most of the topics they cover.

"They didn`t go out and pick a bunch of random kids for this video"

but that`s the point I was making I think... if the`ve not just chosen random kids and shown all the responses, then how do we know they`ve not just taken a select bunch of kids asked them the questions, pointed them in the right direction for an answer like in this video where they specifically say `do you know lots of people don`t like this video because it shows interracial families?`

If it`s all above board, then don`t edit it.. show everything including all the prompting for answers, all the leading of questions, and all the kids interviewed.

listy, you are correct that if they did it the way you want that there is a greater ability to see how all the kids really feel, however it is very possible that the editing was done more for pacing.

This series is filmed in Los Angeles so you likely have a different vibe amongst the gen pop than say in Birmingham Alabama. So it does reflect what their parents instilled in them but also shows that on their own they don`t see the race thing as any kind of issue in this commercial.

And as far as different vs same kids that`s because the creators are better off with characters instead of randoms so watchers get more invested. Also helps weed out the dull or stupid ones.

Good for these kids. And I suspect it`s only certain Americans that are getting upset. I hope Cheerios makes a gay couple ad soon just to piss them off more.

    LMFAO @ Carmium! YESSSSS.

And have the one dad being flamboyantly gay while the other is more conservative gay.

Pat Robertson will then say: "I used to love Cheerios, that wholesome, healthy, all American breakfast cereal. But now that they`ve become Queerios, I vomit just like when I see gays on Facebook. Jesus hates Cheerios now."

I don`t know why, but this seemed a bit scripted to me.
Despite though, a majority of kids just saw an everyday commercial, they are too young to know that most people think that interracial couples are a horrible thing.
Ah.. To have the innocence of a kid again.

I never saw one "outraged" comment about the commercial. I`d be interested to know what percentage of white-vs-black were outraged over it. Who was more outraged? The whites or blacks?

    TruTenrMan,
Should`ve seen some of the comments on Youtube. No idea of the percentage of White vs. Black, of course but there were outraged a$$holes of both types. Who knows...now that they have something in common, maybe those idiots can become friends!

I`ve never heard one ounce of actual outrage about this commercial, but it somehow won`t go away. It`s a fake, false outrage.

Drawman, the US is not fracked up on race. We have a black president. We are the only country where the traditional majority would even come close to democratically electing a minority. Go examine yourself and your decaying continent before examining our decaying continent.

A lot of people "took notice".
But no one wants to be called a racist so they say "I don`t see anything".

No me of course, I didn`t see anything.

    madduck,

Most states started allowing it from the 50`s onward, but ut wasn`t until the poingnantly named Loving v. Virginia that the dozen or so holdouts lost the right to outlaw inter-marriage

You know, sometimes we all need to think like children more and be less cynical about life. Dylan seems really familiar, has he been in these vids before? Also the girl at the end shows how some of the effected people feel. :(

Oh my GOD! How cutting edge! A black man with a white woman!!! What`s next? An Asian man with a Hindu wife?

Get over it, and stop referring to it as controversial just because you get wrap your tiny brain around it.
