That`s actually pretty cool but I`m guessing that a craft that takes off and lands like an aircraft will be the way to go. At least, that is, until we build space elevators and then they won`t have to do either.

Using rockets to land is a stupid idea.

Agree with zismo... why bother?!- use parachutes and side thrusters. Uses a fraction of the fuel.

cause @betermal, Zismo if you can land a rocket vertically, it can take off again. but don`t think of earth now, let`s use imagination, the moon, mars... further.

    these are just small steps.

Zismo - rocket landings are stupid? Gliding may be more economic, but not all planets have the atmosphere for it.

    Thing outside the box...err... globe.

It`s amazing to me how black and white and limited some minds are. Do you critics not get that innovation is innovation? That the research, techniques, production to get something working, and working well begats other research, techniques and production capabilities? Do you not get that the world is progressing, and it`s going to keep doing so, whether you like it or not? Amen for the fact that at least some people have vision. If you don`t believe in progress, please quit drinking pasteurized milk, partaking of modern medicine, penicillin, driving your car, surfing the `net or using electricity. For all of our sake, please.
