@ferdyferret: Your "troll level"? It`s 5.0!

But really? stfu, ok, thx! G-bye.

"Naked Lunch"

The concept that: When you bite into that `roast beef` or `pork cutlet` or `chicken breast` you UNDERSTAND that you are, in fact, chewing on a (once) living animal...

9 out of 10 children do not know what "Chicken Nuggets" are made of...
(HINT: chickens)

I remember the soy-burgers in school. The taste would stay with you for the rest of the day.

Growing up they predicted the sea & soybeans would meet all our needs and save the planet. Now it`s the opposite. Everything is "processed". Eww, seaweed in chicken nuggets.

Do I care? Nope. I want some dead cow, some chicken/seaweed nuggets, and I don`t care what`s in my hot dog as long as it`s delicious!

And I have killed animals to eat them. On the farm you played with the pigs and goats and even calves {I didn`t keep lambs} and then you killed and ate your pets! Valuable life lessons there. One thing my dad taught me I`ll never forget and always try to live up to, "A man shoots his own dog."

Think about it.

If you`re going to eat meat, you should at least witness the process once. I don`t believe you can truly appreciate what animals provide us without doing so.

I think this is called sarcasm. It`s quite common here in the UK...

Good grief, man! You can`t go around killing and eating vegetarians, even if their meat does build brain cells!

Oh, that`s not what you meant? :)

I assumed that the author approves of hunting animals to kill them for food and that they were making a deliberately absurd argument in order to highlight a very common flaw in arguments against that. Opposing hunting animals for food while eating animals that someone else has killed for you is very common. I think the author was arguing that it`s hypocritical.

Unclear, but not stupid.

I think he means wait until the Replicator is invented and use that ...

"Ah, a nice synthetic roast beef sandwich and a cold syntha-beer. That`s living!"

@freddyferret,
I second richanddead`s motion. Submit that link. It`s at least as good as the MPH video!

@Rayvnia,
I can only say that you must be such a sweet, sweet woman to have attempted to support the idiot who wrote that little newspaper blurb. I bow to your loveliness!

I think I know what the person was trying to say... I don`t hunt because so much meat in groceries stores gets thrown out already. Those lives already dead... and being thrown away. And I`m gonna go out and hunt my meal, killing yet ANOTHER life? Sure, elk tastes better than grocery store beef... but grocery store beef is already dead. If there were no stores I would hunt.
