Teens are not unemployed because the jobs don`t exist. Those are exactly the sorts of jobs that are plentiful. It`s not exactly difficult to get a Chipotle job. Or if you`re a real ambitious fellow, a lifeguard job.

Inflation is going up exponentially in this country. Working wages have not.

If I thought it would send Justin into a suicidal depression I`d approve a $25.00 hike to minimum wage.

Obviously Boober buys the big biz crap so he won`t have to pay more for a cheeseburger. I pay helpers at least 15 an hour and if they`re worth a poop I pay em 20-25 - and make em work as hard as me.
While it may be true that cost-of-living is determined by the amount paid to produce an item, generally the fat cats (see CEO) greed overrides any chance that equity can be gained for workers. Lower CEO compensation and voila, a living wage can be paid to workers without driving prices up.

Though I agree with your premise, handimanner; take CEO money and give it to workers will make things better, I disagree with the idea.
Who is anyone to say that someone else "earns too much".

As a business owner I strive to maintain quality people. No wage=no incentive=high turnover. Also, because I only do high end custom work I need people who are confident in their work=lives.
Anyone who takes a company to greatness deserves compensation (however, I would tie any bonuses to stock) , likewise a CEO who tanks a company (HP, Hostess, etc) deserves nothing but unemployment insurance like the rest of us.

The beibs is worth exactly the minimum wage. Raising the wage will not make him any less of a tool.

The current crisis (which actualy started in the reagan/thatcher years, and has just been swept under the carpet) is a beautiful example of how some peopel earn to much, the down side with a free market is that due to greed, you will get a pyramid structure, and once the money is gone from the bottom, the wholle thing will collapse. the current state is just a glimps of what is yet to come unless someone womehow figures out a way to stabilse the wholle structure. and it doesn`t look like anybody has the brains or the balls to do it.

I can hire a Mexican to mow my lawn and wash my car and know he`s going to do a great job. Why hire a damn teen?

Ironically, and sadly, @MrOrange, Reagan and Thatcher were the last two people I know of who had both the brains and the balls to fix it. Of course, we have their blueprints, but no one is willing to follow them. Oh, well, we`re screwed, I guess.
