    If that is him just throwing the punch, not even hitting you...and the flash was proven technically faster than superman....then the flash dodging that punch would also set off a nuclear explosion killing the flash?

    His argument is not logical.
    Just because he can fly that fast, doesn`t mean he can punch that fast. Do you punch at the same speed you run? And nothing says he HAS to hit you with max force. He might pull the punch and just launch you into space.

    @Gerry

    I think that was covered when he said:
    So you unfortunately are about to fight the Man of Steel who in this case will not be restraining himself...

    Which Superman? His powers have changed over the years. In the 60s, his speed and strength were nearly infinite. A full-strength punch to the face would turn your head into a cloud of elementary particles hotter than the interior of a blue super-giant star and expanding at nearly the speed of light.

    Yeah, but it took him 4 1/2 minutes. I said it in 300 characters.

    Continuously upping Superman`s power from just unbelievable to beyond comprehension to absolutely limitless completely destroyed the original concept of the character.

    "...completely destroyed the original concept of the character."
    Lately, they have scaled the character so that his output is relative to the mood of the scene and his motivation.

    This led to a new dynamic in the character in the form of his (mostly unspoken) inner conflict:
    -"I`m trying to help people but, my main ability (strength) is almost purely lethal at capacity. I hardly ever use it."
    -"People just aren`t to be trusted so, why don`t I just fly down there with my super-powered army and take over?"

    This second one was played out several times in parallel world stories where, the writers may not notice but,
    -Sup`s ideals actually make him a fascist.
    -9 out 10 iterations of Sups turn on the planet and take it over...

    I was really hoping they would address the simpler version of superman where he is "faster than a speeding bullet" and "more powerful than a locomotive." What kind of damage would that do to someone`s face.
