So what, you get a phone contract with com.. or ver.. or whoever, they have all you private information, as where you live, you phone number, and prolly the name of your husband if he is authorized on your account. Sounds like the operators use something similar to who phone companies contract to handle calls, obamarama prolly hired the same contract company, and they prolly have similar tools. its 2013, privacy is a delusion you keep telling yourself to help you sleep. they don`t call it the information age for the sake of sarcasm.

I know health care in the U.S. is broken, but this is not the answer. This is going to make it worse.

    Repeal Obamacare.

I appreciate the unbiased post from 5cats...

Especially considering he lives in a country that is pretty happy with their public, government-funded health care...

My family already has health insurance through my husband`s job. Happens to be based out of Switzerland. So we`re good. However, my sister works for the United States Postal Service and the insurance they provide will take most of her paycheck...brilliant.

It doesn`t matter what we do. We`re all going to get f*cked over one way or another. Our healthcare system was sh*t before, and it won`t get better. Insurance companies suck. The federal government sucks. Crony capitalism sucks. Now I`m depressed.

I couldn`t be bothered to read it all...got far enough to realize it was just a bored housewives attempt at exposing a privately owned call centers lack of training and the facts she didn`t get/didn`t have.

I love how people blame obama for this, when it was the republicans that wouldnt let him do his original plan, and he ended up with this as it was the only thing that they would let through into law.

Funny how republicans arent saying a word how it is actually THEIR fault this is happening.

    @tedgp

Despite all that Obama STILL pushed for it, and now America is stuck with a lame-ass policy that`s going to make everything worse.

Really? Look at the vote. All of the Republicans - every single one of them - voted against the ObamaCare law, yet it passed anyway. If the Democrats had enough votes to swamp the Republicans, how is it that Obama didn`t get the plan he wanted?

    @tedgp:
"Funny how republicans arent saying a word how it is actually THEIR fault this is happening."

    Oh yea forgot,

    In the house:
    Aye votes: 219 Democrates/ 0 republicans
    No votes: 34 Democrates/ 178 republicans

    In the senate:
    AYE votes : 60 democrates/ 0 republicans
    No votes: 0 democrates/ 39 republicans

Yea, Obamacare is totally the republicans fault.

"it is spelled `probably` not prolly."

@tedgp: "prolly" is the Canadian spelling, eh?

@panzerlenis: In Canada we still have to buy insurance! The ONLY way our system is better is if you have a catastrophic illness. You can get fast and (almost) free care, all across the country!
On the downsides? Finding a doctor is very difficult. Waiting for hours to see a doctor is `normal`. Seeing a specialist can take months, getting elective surgery can take YEARS.

Unless you... PAY FOR IT YOURSELF!
Or go to the USA and get it done in a day or two, not 2-3 years...

@Dead_Kittens: The point is that in 6 months it`s supposed to be `up and running` and they currently have NO IDEA what is what! It`s not just the call centre, it`s the whole Obamacare System that has no clue.

@tedgp: Obama rammed it through without allowing it to be read, after weeks of secret backroom deals in which NO Repubs were allowed. Just flog that dead horse some more, boyo...

@5cats My wife is from Canada so I`ve had plenty of exposure to the Canadian health care system. Having lived in the US, I am also VERY familiar to the current system. In every way. EVERY. Canada`s system is better.

You complain about having to wait and pay for good care. Guess what? We have to wait longer and pay more for the same service. We also have to pay for the crappy care and long waits though.

@5Cats Aye and point understood.. but for the extremely limited knowledge I actually have of the subject I feel this wouldn`t be a very apt article to start with... I will say that (from the selective reading I perused) that there is no actual details regarding the call center as opposed to a method for slandering the Obama administration and its care package as a whole.. for all we know its a surplus call center based out of India with no more knowledge of the US political system than a quick `slap together` FAQ database.

@Dead-Kittens: This is the White House`s OFFICIAL Call Center! It`s on their homepage (which is linked).
If THIS is a "cheap, slapped together job run from India"? What is the full-on Obamacare going to look like?

They`ve had 2+ years to get it ready, and with just 6 months to go before the fines (oh sorry, taxes) start flying? The White House itself has NO IDEA what`s going on!

    Some "fix"!

The World to 5Cats...YOU ARE A CANK!
Couldn`t get past the first 2 sentences without smelling the bias on this. I am not arguing whether or not Obama care is stupid, just that this (and your fascination with Americas internal politics) is retarded.

Please don`t bother tedgp with facts. It gets in the way of his complaining about stuff he knows nothing about...which is nearly everything.

He is like IAB`s Eeyore. Everything sucks...another gloomy day...lost my tail again.

@turdburglar: "Couldn`t get past the first 2 sentences without smelling the bias on this."

I would agree, this article is very heavily biased, but that`s politics for you. Your always going to find some sort of bias in political articles unless you`re going to submit factcheck.org, politifact, or snopes, which I find the Mod`s aren`t too fond of and people usually find boring because of the fact it so nonpartisan.

But I don`t mind partisan articles, both liberal and conservative ones, they can say some interesting things that one can look up and see if it`s really true or a gross exaggeration. And then people can have fun throwing around insults and showing their expertise on every situation. All and all, people can learn a little more and are less bored because of the debate it inspires. I see it as a good thing, but thats just me.

richanddead - Yes, our media is ALWAYS biased. Some (like this) more than others. Just look at the picture on this page! A big evil pissed off looking giant Obama head ruling over his disciples like Americas fuhrer. Lame.

I`m properly frightened. We`re struggling to make ends meet without having to pay for insurance. We`ll either stop being able to eat, or lose the house. Not really seeing a good side to this.
