Good man. Gave his life to save a child.

He had a child and wife of his own. Too bad he can`t be there for them anymore. Tough call for him to make...truly a hero.

From what I understand, he jumped in and injured himself, and the girl was pulled from the river, so technically he didn`t actually save her. Nonetheless, his actions were selfless and those of a hero.

It`s in the story somewhere, but he also helped save a truck driver from a burning cab about a week earlier I believe. So he is twice a hero.

Is it only me that noticed they say he dove into the creek. If he had jumped he would not have broken his neck. His heart was in the right place but not his head.

I fail to see the heriosm in this guy`s action.

1: you never ever dive headfirst into unknown water.

2: your first and foremost responsibilities as a parent lie with your child and your partner.

whois going to provide for his kid now? who`s gonna raise him? i love selfless acts, and i love hero`s but this? this iant it.

I respect the guy for trying, but doing it in such a stupid way could have killed the girl he was trying to save. What if noone else was around?

Still, respect for him for at least trying to help!
