I was kind of expecting his mouth to be covered in duct tape and his hands to be bound together. Actually, that gives me an idea...

I wish that woman would shut the hell up. No one wants to hear your annoying voice and comments. What a wanker.

Well a learned a new word, "bollard".
We don`t call them that here.
I`ll probably never have occasion to use it, but it`s nice to know.

I`d guess most of us Americans feel that way. Over here, it seems that once a cop gets involved someone WILL get arrested, just to make it worth his time. The best part was the cop`s question at the end: "Do you mind awfully if I have this?" :-D

I hear ya, a couple weeks ago I was walking home, completely piss drunk and I was stopped by a cop. Before I know it, there were two cops, all they were doing was talking to me and I wasn`t acting a fool. I figured they would try to arrest me for public intoxication or some crap. In the end they just asked me if I wanted a ride... I was shocked, in my past that usually wasn`t how my interactions with the police worked.

Gerry: What do you call the decorative metal posts, often linked with chains, that keep traffic off the sidewalk in the old-fashioned tourist trap section of town?
