Like I am going to trust a link and the libertarded bulls.hit site.

BTW, if you need a $21,000 shiny rock to want to marry someone you are an empty headed twat.

@HolyGod-- I agree. I mean sure, don`t get some ugly dollar store aluminum POS to represent your eternal bond...but do you really need to spend thousands of dollars on a huge clear rock?

    Fun snippet:
"Prior to the 20th century, engagement rings were strictly luxury items, and they rarely contained diamonds. But in 1939, the De Beers diamond company changed all of that when it hired ad agency N.W. Ayer & Son. The industry had taken a nosedive in the 1870s, after massive diamond deposits were discovered in South Africa. But the ad agency came to the rescue by introducing the diamond engagement ring and quietly spreading the trend through fashion magazines. The rings didn`t become de rigueur for marriage proposals until 1948, when the company launched the crafty `A Diamond is Forever` campaign. By sentimentalizing the gems, De Beers ensured that people wouldn`t resell them, allowing the company to retain control of the market."

    "Fun Snippet"

Yep. It is a total scam. There are warehouses full of diamonds and they have us, well some of us, convinced they are worth tens of thousands of dollars for a little rock.

If you own big diamonds you are a sucker and if I ever date a girl who thinks she needs a big engagement ring I can guarantee she`ll never be my wife.

HG, I know HuffPo is a liberal site. However, I posted that link because 1) they had the best coverage and pictures among the first several links that come up on the same story, 2) this was not a political story, so their opinions didn`t come into play, 3) I knew bigots like you wouldn`t read it if the exact same story came from FoxNews.com, and 4) I`m not a bigot like you.

    1) It was a joke

    2) It was a joke

    3) I watch FOX News and check out Drudge and others almost once a day. i like to see what talking points you, carkr, and kitty will be regurgitating in here ad nauseum. Sometimes the best way to fight a virus is to find the source.

    4) That may be the biggest need of a pot / kettle color commentary I`ve ever seen.

I`m sorry, but if you spend $23 grand on a ring you deserve far worse than selling it for $10..

She must be so amazing in bed, 23K buys you a lot and lot of differn`t vajaja that will do amazing things to you, and won`t complain about headaches, or the fact that your buying other vajajas too.

Haha... It`s terrible that they would spend that much on some useless stones. They could have used that money for MUCH better things. My ring cost 70$, and I still think that`s too expensive.
