I`m pretty sure the liberal Democrats are more to blame for that than Jon Stewart is.

I certainly don`t agree with this guy on many points, but he`s still funny.

Oh I just remembered a golden moment from that Iran episode, Jason Jones: "We were clearly in hostile territory. I told my producer Tony to stick next to me, that way we would both be safe." Cut to our intrepid reporters turning around to reveal Jason has a tee shirt on with, "I`m with Jew --->" emblazoned on the back. XD

"3: What`s a jew even doing on arab tv? "

Again, part of the reason I submitted this video is to Jon Stewart and Bassem Yousef are friends and mutual admirers. Bassem Yousef`s knows Jon Stewart and love him. These are the people in Egypt who helped overthrow Mubarak and are now upset with their Morsi as well.

And regarding The Daily Show`s Iran story, I remember watching it. People in Iran were talking about how one of their favorite shows is The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

So the idea that a Jew can`t be well liked in a Muslim country isn`t totally accurate.

Gerry your third point got me thinking and well it does make sense actually. Egypt was the first Arab country to sign a peace treaty with Israel in the `70s for one thing. And not to mention the whole Abraham thing, whereby the universally recognized Founder of the Faith for all 3 great monotheisms tends to bind people together in solidarity with one another. Granted that`s not how we`re used to seeing that particular relationship, but the reality is not quite so 1 dimensional.

DM since when has Jon given thumbs up to drones? The most I can recall is that he agreed with O`Reilly that the story of American born terrorist Alzahiri`s death by one wasn`t a sympathetic one to most Americans, not that he was fully behind the program.

1: Stewart with a beard sucks.
2: Arabs dragging people out with hoods like hostages about to be beheaded is in very poor taste.
3: What`s a jew even doing on arab tv?

So wrong on so many levels.

It`s so fantastic to be able to see Jon again! (Dude has to shave that Wario beard though) Great find FoolsPrussia! Not that John Oliver isn`t doing a spectacular job but it just isn`t the same you know?

I remember when he first told the story of the Iranian journalist`s arrest, the accusal of meeting an American spy. "Firstly, Jason is not a spy. Secondly...he`s Canadian." XD

I wish him all the best with this movie thing and I`ll have to go see it when it comes out.

Andrew155 hasn`t learned to think for himself yet. The Daily Show isn`t meant to be taken seriously. It`s only to bring up certain topics and points and then it`s up to you to further your research into a subject and form your own damn opinion.

Anyway, what exactly is your point? I posted this video to show an example of two men who are doing a lot to bridge the gap between the Middle East and the West, certainly a lot more than any politician seems to be interested in.

"he misled me into the false sense that most people in the Middle East were essentially liberal Democrats, or at least liberal Democrats who had yet to be awakened."

Wow. I don`t think he`s ever stated anything like that. He does humanize them, if that`s what you mean...

Anyway, I think if you were to ask the first European settlers of America what kind of government they`d like to have, they`d probably say a strict Biblical theocracy.

When I used to be a Daily Show Democrat during the Bush years, he misled me into the false sense that most people in the Middle East were essentially liberal Democrats, or at least liberal Democrats who had yet to be awakened.

But it turns out that 81% of Egyptians think adulterers should be stoned and about 2/3 think leaving Islam should be punishable by death.
