@ferdyfred: Nare thats at the Fremantle markets in Western Australia. Its a main tourist hub south of Perth. Im from WA but this isnt my kind of place. They have crazy stuff like this all the time down there.

As far as I know, their last use in war was in 1943.

No joke. "Fighting Jack" Churchill used bagpipes, bow and arrows and a sword in WW2 for the psychological impact. He literally went medieval on the enemy.
