Link: Fabric Covered Car? - The BMW GINA - The body is made of a very strong fabric, polyurethane coated spandex. The doors opening look amazingly strange.

Yes, and they`re not manufacturing cars like this because, surprise surprise, fabric isn`t a good material for a car`s bodywork. It`s an art project.

Quite a few aircraft are fabric covered. It`s a resilient material because it flexes instead of denting. It of course doesn`t have the life span of metal. It is a very light way to skin something though. Oh and they don`t use spandex, they use a high quality Dacron.

I can visualise the dealership signs by state:
    FL Gina.
    KY Gina.
    VA GINA.
    etc.
I always said BMW drivers were a bunch of cants
