Can animals sense kind-hearted humans? Or was this just luck?

Wow, that`s quite impressive. I don`t know if the whale shark was "asking for help" but for him to sit there in the perfect depth and position for the human ... WITH THE KNIFE ... to sit on his back ... for 20 minutes ... jerking around this thing that`s causing the shark pain ... definitely seems to imply an understanding for what the human was doing for him. Just ... wow.

Def PETA would have euthanized it and then made a commercial or advertisement about fishing practices causing the death of the whale so lease send donations so that we cam make more commercials and pay more naked models but not actually SAVE any animals or re-hab them. OK, rant over. This is an AMAZING video and I am thankful that there are people willing to do these things. I think it`s a bit of luck that the whale found the people but they are known for being docile, who is to say he didn`t approach all boats out of curiosity and these just happen to be the first that helped and had a video camera/phone whatever? Regardless, I am very thankful that I saw this. It was soothing.

This is a derivation of natural behaviour. Somehow, the shark has associated boats as a cleaning station.

"Obviously, the shark noticed a PETA bumper-sticker on the back of the boat."

No, PETA would have had it euthanised.

I don`t like it when people manipulate my emotions without my consent.

I`ll see you pay for every tear you make me shed you damn hippy scum. I kid. Kinda.

Nice to get to see something like this, from time to time.

Whale sharks eat plankton for the most part. The average dog presents more of a threat to humans.

Obviously, the shark noticed a PETA bumper-sticker on the back of the boat. He figured he would get help, then eat the idiots when they were done.

My question is "How did it know?".
Well, I`d imagine that it heard the gentle guitar music playing in the background and guessed that the crew were of a sensitive and caring disposition.

My bet is that all animals can speak to each other but they don`t include us coz we`re d1cks.
