So they built an outhouse around a dead tree?

Thats not a tree house. A tree house is built on a living tree and is suspended entirely by the tree.

Very cool.... the only downside is as soon as you enter it you lose all rights to moan about hipsters because you`ve become one yourself.

I do like it. That would be an awesome place to hang out for a weekend. It would take a little more to totally call it home, but that proibably wouldn`t be too hard either.

i guess its nice--i particularly like the `bag of antlers` chandelier--but i really prefer heat and air conditioning where i`m staying. oh, and inside plumbing, too.

    Fail
The tree house is supported by the tree, this is just a house with a tree in it

That tree looks dead. So really it is a "stump house"?

Exactly, tree houses aren`t supposed to touch the ground.

Yeah, it`s not a "tree house" since it`s just built on a stump. And that "antler light" is really ugly!

    Fun concept though!

The infestation can be easily removed by playing contemporary pop music and drinking instant coffee in the tree house for 3 evenings. Afer this time the place will be hipster free.

They must smoke so much pot in there.

Also, don`t put books on the wall unless you`re actually going to read them, or already have.

Seriously, that horn chandelier is horrid. This is clearly pics from a horror movie, because that chandelier is only there for the plot to kill someone off.

It`s like decorating a coffee table with loose glass shards. Why?

If the tree is dead and you put the entire structure on pillars it`s NOT a tree house.

It would have been easier to build if it didn`t have a dead tree in the middle if it. The odd branches could be added as an afterthought, and logs from the woodpile brought in to use as tables etc.
