Ought to knock a few who think their country is above the fray off their high horses (you know who you are). This is worldwide and ubiquitous.

    2009? BLAME BUSH! Right @HolyGod?

Well: spies spy! And the British have spies... who spy! Everybody spies on everybody, it`s a fact.

BUT! That offers NO excuse for Obama turning the Spy Monster loose on the American Public. Shame? Thy name is Democrat!

I can understand the issue, but I`m not that worried. I see Britain as sort of an old nosy lady. Shes been around for a while and can tell you how things used to be. She watches everyone like it`s her job, and gossips about it to everyone, except those "uncultured rif-raff." She really can`t help you in a fight anymore, but that doesn`t stop her from swinging her cane around when needed. Her house is usually clean, but it smells weird, has disgusting food, and is set up like a museum. She will invite you over for some conversation and tea but ends up just telling you how to spend your money and how it ought to be, then goes into complaining about how your newfangled slang terms don`t make sense to her. She sighs, then tries to make things better by telling you about her last bowel movement and how to have a healthy colon.

All this stuff they`re talking about...isn`t it what America has been doing in films since about 1970?

Richanddead - My chair was falling apart. My wife just had it completely refurbished. How much was it? I don`t know and I don`t want to know — probably cost much more than the chair was ever worth.

You have to decide, is it worth saving? You have to assess the damage. Is it even possible to repair?

You have to repair the major structural flaws; strip the layers of paint that covered up its natural beauty — seal it, protect it and restore its natural finish.

    That chair is America.

It`s getting old; it`s been around. A lot of people have tried this chair out; a lot of people have painted over it, altered it, banged it up a little bit. And it`s become pretty weak and wobbly.

@philbadley: Damn, I like that, sounds like the America chair is comfy, popular and well used. And despite all its problems and imperfections you still prefered to pay more than it was ever worth.

Here`s to keeping the old lady up, for another year.

Our spies are paid for out of my taxes; I expect them to be working hard at spying. They were spying on Russia and Turkey? Damn right they were, that`s their job.
