Isn`t falling asleep on a keyboard the way the "Twilight" books were written?

It would be funnier if by chance the lucky recipient was called Herr Qwerty.

Funny idea, but I`m not buying it.
You can`t just snooze and type 22222222222222.
There`s confirmations and links and etc etc`s to deal with before a transfer goes through.

The money wasn`t actually transferred - the story says that the bank easily caught the error and stopped it. So the checks you refer to were in place - it just passed the first two links in the chain of checks (entry and first checking).

When I was living in London, quite some while back, the local education authority put an an order through their payroll system to pay a caretaker about £3M for a month. Someone had put his annual salary into a badly designed new payroll system that was expecting an hourly rate of pay. So it paid him something like £16,000 per hour for that month - nobody had programmed it to check. It was caught by the multiple levels of checks before it was transferred, but he did get a payslip for the millions.
