Doe he have any proof? Actual proof we can see, touch, feel, smell? I mean, I`m not trying to discredit him, but, you know, I ask the same from persons of faith, so, I have to ask it of him. Show me actual proof, Dude, and I`ll believe. Until then, my atheism and skepticism are what they are. For those interested, here`s a link from Huffington Post on the testimony.

I can well believe all this but I wonder why these more advance races don`t just come in and take the power away from these elite few and run the world fairly for all of us.

Paul Hellyer was Minister of Defense in 1963 and he`s 89 years old. There`s a reason why he wasn`t re-elected -- he`s crazy.

Is it believable that we aren`t the only creatures with sentient thought? I think the odds are we aren`t alone. However with that said why would they be working for the United States? Why wouldn`t they show themselves to everyone? Knowing they exist would push our species even further. It may lead us to question everything we believe we know.

The only thing I question is their ability to travel here. As far as we are aware there is nothing that has mass that can exceed the speed of light. How would they get here in any reasonable time frame? Better question is why would they? We still believe in fairy tales.

    What is proof?
    NOT a troll. I`m serious.
What would be proof to satisfy people?
If it was on CNN, is that proof? NBC? CBS? BBC?
Where does it become proof, and not a "hoax"?

If there was a posting on the internet of photographs, people would just say "That`s photoshop."
If there was a video on youtube, people would just say, "It`s CG animation."

If there is a hearing, in front of congress, by a former Defence Minister, and dozens of others (it was a big, big, event) that`s not proof.

The reality is, there is a LOT of evidence right under our noses. We choose to ignore it. Choose to discount it.

Look up these people, if you have an extra moment:
    Richard Hoagland
    Richard Dolan
    Nick Pope
    Stanton Friedman
    Edgar Fouche
    Gordon Duff
    Ben Rich
    Gary Mackinnon

The reality is, this UFO stuff isn`t going away. In fact, as the people involved get older, it will

I`m not saying that we`re the only life in the universe. The odds of that are almost astronomically low. What I am saying is that I have seen no proof of UFOs here, and I`d need that to believe we`ve been visited.

What is proof? I guess that`s a good question. There are plenty who don`t allow their children vaccines for fear they cause autism. They claim they`ve seen proof. Plenty claim the Earth is flat, that we`ve faked the moon landings, that spontaneous combustion occurs. They all have proof.

For me, it goes beyond rumor and conjecture. For me proof is easy. Can I see it with my own eyes, touch it, feel it, smell it, taste it? If so, it`s real. Does that make it alien? No, but if it can pass some of those tests and still seem alien to me, I`ll at least be open to the discussion.

So it`s feasible that we`ve been to other planets, but make mention you believe beings from other planets have been here, then you`re labeled as crazy.

I live near Edwards Air Force Base in So Cal... I have seen the UFOs Cloaked as clouds. They hover over the base for hours with no other clouds in the sky and then suddenly they are gone in a matter of moments. my fave. quote. Everyone is waiting for an invasion, but they are already here.

Wiki: Paul Hellyer He was a Big Dog back in the day! If anyone could know "the facts" he`d be one of them.

9:00 Did he just say Global Warming is part of the Alien Takeover Plan? He did, didn`t he! Of course it makes perfect sense that they`d terraform to make Earth more hospitable for themselves...

Look at almost every instance in Human History when advanced societies (technology, military, economically) met primitive ones? They (almost) all follow the exact same pattern Hellyer lays out...

There`s various ways to "takeover the Earth", mostly they depend on what technology the Aliens use for inter-stellar travel... and what their "end goal" is...

@drawman61 & @normalfreak2: the How and Why of their coming to Earth is VERY important! Especially if there are 3 competing species, eh?

Like the Invasion of North America by France, Spain and England (and the Dutch & Portugal too. Sweden even...) Each had different motives and used different methods to achieve them.

    Overly Simplified Overview:
    >France: Wanted trade to get rich back home. Were very friendly, dealt (mostly) honestly, killed whoever got in their way.
    >England: Wanted resources to get rich here and back home. Usually tried to assimilate natives, killed whoever opposed them.
    >Spain: Wanted treasure, all of it! NOW! Put natives who didn`t "pay up" to the sword. Also used religious conversion as a tool of control.

The 3 main alien races (among others, IF Hellyer is right) could be like that too...

Proof needs to be tangible. A grainy pic of an object 2 miles away, hardly qualifies. Grainy and bouncy camera footage suffers the same unconvincing proof. Most of the world has not seen a UFO, therefore most of the world will not take it as truth from a handful of people that claim to have seen one and have no proof.

@Xperez: If and when they "make contact"? There will be no doubt!
Of course it might not happen for 1,000 years, if ever!

I`ve had several hyper-realistic dreams about aliens coming to Earth. Usually billions of dead. Only one ended well for us humans... well 2 I suppose, only after thousands of years of suffering... (we exterminated those M-Fers from existence in the Milky Way. They richly deserved it! 30+ other species were freed from them by us humans :-) )

    (I have had some `very bad dreams` ever since I was a `lil kitten...)

How have we been to other planets when we don`t even have the technology necessary to reach Mars?
It would take YEARS upon YEARS to reach even our closest planetary neighbor, let alone one farther out (and able to kill us the second we reach the atmosphere) or god forbid other solar systems...

I`ve lived on and next to many bases, including Edwards, for my entire life. I have never seen any aircraft that weren`t military, and certainly never anything disguised as clouds. I`m serious, I`ve lived in base housing next to the flight line. I got to hear C130`s and C5`s take off on a daily basis. Of all the time I spent watching the skies, I have never seen anything capable of making me think there were `aliens`.
Not saying they don`t exist, just that I don`t think you saw what you think you saw.

It`s like people claiming that Cheyenne Mountain contains secret alien technology. Bullpoo.
