I have no problem with the I/Me thing....it`s the Me/Myself thing I fail at.

Brag much, Mr. Moneybags? Not all of us can pay extra for a pulse.

Also, isn`t it more proper to say "...a hooker WHO was still alive"? Seems like "that" should be used for things, not people.

Rich people on reality shows are the worst at this. They think they sound smart when they ALWAYS use "so and so and I" when it usually should be "so and so and ME". Of course, there`s always the conflict when you know how some phrases should be said but when you say it correctly, it makes you sound pretentious. Social dilemma.

Subject = I
Object = me

Super simple

CrakrJak can you put `Bob and I` or `Bob and me` in place of `we` in your sentences? Except for the first one, no. You could in mine.

Not trying to be a jerk, are you? Just pointing out what was on the post compared to your comment.

P.S. She *saw* we together. Verbs are important too.

So... Why would anyone pay for a hooker that wasn`t alive?

See, that`s how I learn, using examples that I can relate to.

ElectricEye:

She seen we together.
None of we were responsible.
Most of we know when to use the correct pronoun.

Please don`t be a jerk, when you knew what I was trying to elucidate

I wish more people understood this and me/and I rule. It`s infuriating when I see a picture on facebook with this description "picture of Joe Blow and I". Oh, so you talk like a cave man...I see.

These rules go out the window if u go on lolcats, of course. "Me wants urs cheezyburger" is perfectly acceptable.

This "lesson" is quite correct but it will fall on deaf ears as usual.

@freddyferret: He (or she!) was masturbating with Robert and getting a hooker with Kate...

As God is my witness: I thought it said "hooker that was still <attractive>" the first few times I read it... imagine my shock! :-O

CrakrJak:
Us went to the store.
Us did not know that.
Us think that will not work.

That just doesn`t sound quite right.

Now the word `we` might be a better substitution.

Just use the word "us" and avoid the awkward wording altogether.

This is incorrect. Putting the other person first has nothing to do with grammar it`s about etiquette.

You mean about locking the door or the living hooker?

If you have a hooker, you shouldn`t have to masturbate.

Hmmm... My friend and I did not know that...

Some more sense: 1)when masturbating, lock the door. 2)it`s always worth extra for the hooker who`s still alive.
Anyway, I was taught this lesson, with different examples, about 50 years ago. Never figured out why so many people just don`t get it.
