Going to be terrible. 300 only succeeded because nobody had ever attempted it before.

This will end up like chronicles of riddick. First one was great, second was like a low budget B movie.

Excellent!!! Themistocles was my favorite Greek general, he was brilliant and killed the most Persians with his cunning in planning and battle! I also want to see how they depict Cimon the great and Leonidas`s nephew the great Spartan General turned traitor Pausanias. I hope they do the Peloponnesian wars! I wish it were more based in fact though. 300 would have been just as good if based on the history. I still can`t believe they gave all the credit to the spartans, there were actually over 7000 greeks almost all were extremely pissed that sparta only brought 300 with them. Still, the spartans were the best open field fighters of that time, the Athenians were just getting into building their massive navy. At that time they were more known for being the best at breaking into walled cities. Still my hopes run high for this film.

    Ahistorical action-porn trash.

"Oh, 300 made a lot of money when it came out, didn`t it?"

    "Yep, certainly did."

"Oh, well I guess we could make a sequel then and cash in on the fame."

Anyone expecting historical accuracy from this movie is an idiot.

@Solvent--The point is that the history is exciting enough, you don`t even have to doctor it up to make good cinema. Much like Gladiator--they had a historical consultant for that movie who ended up disgusted with the product.

and this, my friends, is precisely the reason why Steven Spielberg & George Lucas are predicting an implosion in hollywood.
