loss of short term memory? i call BS! they clearly havent been on IAB. the users around here have stored all that info away into long term memory and it allows us to easy spot reposts, even ones from years ago! now if we could just teach the mods this ability....

*this is what the internet is doing to your brain if you are over 50 or are helplessly addicted to social networking outlets.

--I can proudly say that iab is the most extensive social network i belong to.

I disagree that inseminating more information makes people "dumber".

The general populace is dumb. No way around it. What difference does it make if they are out having sex with their sheep or watching lolcatz online. In the end, the dumb will remain dumb and the smart will rise up and invent/think/create. (Which isn`t to say that the smart can`t watch lolcatz...)

I am so glad that the fashion for multitasking seems finally to be on the wane. There was a time in the workplace where it seemed every manager was saying, "If you aren`t constantly multitasking, you aren`t really being efficient."

Then senior managers somehow figured out that it was better for people to do one job at a time well rather than two or three jobs at once with so many mistakes that much of the work would have to be redone by someone giving it his full attention.
