The right answer to the question is "yes I thank the Lord for sending this tornado to smite my house with his vengeful wrath. He has proven he exists by attacking atheists like me!"

Andrew155: I`m not so sure about that, she does look a bit `athy`. Possibly the `athiest` woman there!

Oh yeah, and the "perks" listed on the donation site are pretty hilarious. Personally, my favorite is the "Get Out of Hell Free" card for a mere $50 donation, not bad hahaha!!!

After seeing this comedian Doug Stanhope started a campaign called Atheists Unite to raise for money for this woman and her family. According to a CNN blogger, "Less than 17hrs after going live, it met its 60-day goal of $50,000 and is still growing.

Thank god? By that logic everyone who survived in Colorado should thank James Holmes for saving their lives. What a hero! Just think of all the people he DIDN`T kill.

So it was her fault God sent the tornado there. Aimed it right at her.

Told`ya it wasn`t gay marriage that caused it..... this time.

Yeah, she was cool about it though! Good for her.

You`re supposed to thank God for EVERYTHING! Including pain, loss, suffering & etc. So many folks forget that... it`s the whole point of the Book of Job!

Oh thank you LORD for sparing my life. Never mind the wake of destruction that was left, the community that was reduced to nothing, and all the other people that died. Thank you for sparing me.

Bleh, makes me sick.

a higher deity shouldnt be blamed for causing a storm anymore then it should get credit for "saving" people from said storm. although thats pretty much exactly how a lot were first created.

The "G man" gets stiffed for "saving a mother and her daughter" from a deadly storm that he created? A storm that killed, maimed and destroyed lives and property with no regard to age, innocence, creed or color? Darn. I guess sometimes when you`re douchey enough to want credit for the good, and, being as you`r all-powerful and all-knowing, you kinda sorta gotta take credit for the bad that you cause.

Good for her. There is something disgusting in the idea of thanking god for sparing you while your neighbours died in something he sent. That`s too abject.

If you survive and thank god for chossing you to save , you insult the dead.
