He thinks that one of the reasons jobs aren"t being filled is because people fail drug tests.

was it intentional that the closed captions were turned on. Reading that was as much fun as listening to the Governor

Peakingo...hear ye hear ye, on this day the 11th of May in the lords year of 2013 I declare and the record show that I agree with Old Ollie.

Is that a prediction or did come from the future?

So the fact that there are no jobs available is being blamed on the fact that there`s no one who could pass a drug test to get the jobs in the first place so why bother.

If that isn`t the crowning achievement in circular conservative logic, I don`t know what is.

So, is the problem the drugs or the drug tests?

If you can`t tell if your employees are doing their jobs without resorting to chemistry, maybe you shouldn`t be running a business.

I`d like to know which industries can`t get employees due to failed drug tests. Corbett has to go. Act 100 is bust. We can see him painting Corrections into a dangerous corner.
It really depends on the frequency of use.
That ONLY matters if it is frequent enough to actually impair the employee`s ability to do the work. The sad truth about people who fail drug tests is that such impairment never occurred in the first place.

worst thing Gerry is that Corbett is a conservative Republican governor. He`s still better than the previous one.

...or maybe drug use shouldn`t disqualify anyone from holding a job in the first place. Just a thought.

I don`t know anything about that guy other than being annoying as hell, but the point that he illustrates is true.

The governor is an idiot with this perspective on unemployment.

Sorry, Gerry, the idiot that was ranting (Tom Corbett) is NOT a liberal.

If I had a company, I would never hire most of my undergrad graduating class considering how ubiquitous drug use was. And not even just marijuana, which many of them consider as having "no catch". Ecstasy, cocaine, LSD...now I know why it was so easy for me to get into grad school at the Ivy League. There is just no competition.

is it still considered failing the test if i never get called in to take one much less get an interview?

some areas just need more funding and resources. some areas just need to be less racist. some areas just need for people to pass their drug tests...there are a lot of different factors at play.
