@FoolsPrussia Slave horse (working fields, travel, etc.)? Yes. Slave dog (companionship, hunting, etc.)? Yes. Slave human? No, because we are the same species. It really is that simple.

@h2oxy: Should you be able to have a slave because you enjoy sitting on your ass?

The point is he`s a cute kid making more sense than the rest of you arguing over whether to eat f****** plants or not!

@FoolsPrussia But it`s not violence without cause, there is a cause. It`s violence against other species for the cause of me being able to have bacon with my breakfast and a burger for my lunch. The cause is I enjoy eating meat, there needn`t be any other reason.

@h2oxy: I know what he was trying to say but it was a stupid comment because it was obviously trollish and incendiary.

Regarding your assertion about the trouble caused by the entire population going plant-based, most people who share my views would not expect it to happen overnight. The point is to eliminate the unnecessary violence from one`s life.

Most people have a problem with animal abuse. I assert that meat and dairy are abusive systems IF the population that consumes them are doing so unnecessarily and often to the detriment of their own health and environment.

Nobody is denying that we have to consume other forms of life in order to survive. What we`re rejecting is the violence committed against other lives without cause.

@FoolsPrussia He actually has a valid point. But it wouldn`t be eating plants that would kill animals directly, since we`d be growing the plants yourself for the sole purpose of our productions. However, if the entire population of humans switched over to a plant based diet it would mean the slaughter of billions of chickens, cows etc. (livestock) since there would no longer be a demand for them or any reason to keep them alive.
Don`t hate on what was said so much, everything he said was actually technically true.

@junkaroo I don`t think it`s the killing of life they (morally based vegetarians/vegans) have a problem with. It`s the killing of sentient life they have a problem with. I have no problem with it what so ever. Call me speciesist if you want XD.

@MrOrange It sounds like you`re implying that any meat eater is going to die in 15 to 20 years because they eat meat, I`m sure I`m misinterpreting though because that`s absolute nonsense. So... what exactly are y

@junkaroo: Well said! Every thing that you eat could have fed some OTHER creature! You`re murdering them by eating their food!

@FoolsPrussia: Close, but I`ve seen lots worse at IAB. Also I think (hope?) he`s joking, eh?

Just dropping by to point out that killing a plant is no better than killing an animal. The circle of life has us all killing and consuming other life all the time. Consider a future where we somehow figure out that plants are some high order of sentient life, and we are able to communicate with them to hear their pleas for mercy. Suddenly the vegetarians of history will be considered ignorant monsters... Point being that deciding what is ok and not ok to kill is just human morality; completely fickle and often illogical like human laws and social norms. At the end of the day, eat what you feel right eating and leave each other be. Don`t judge the other groups, because every single one of us kills life to eat. The only exception being those who eat carrion, and even they are killing incubating insects and bacteria in the cooking and digesting process. Killing: the act of ending a life; vegetarians that think ending a plant is somehow a pure act are full of crap and themselves.

Everyday, thousands of innocent plants are killed by vegetarians. Help end the violence.

"if we are to save the animals and not eat meat, then why do we have to eat the animals food source? Would that not help starve (and kill) the animals we shouldnt eat? also plants take in co2 and release oxygen, animals take in oxygen and release co2.... im saving breathable air by eating bambi lol"

Perhaps the dumbest comment ever posted on this site.

Even if the only reason I had to eat meat (other sentient species) was that I enjoyed doing so, that would be all the reason I need. Not to mention that the very notion that we are physiologically herbivores is absolute hogwash. Anyone who has taken even the most basic university bio courses could tell you that, vegetarians (or vegans, whatever the hell they refer to themselves as) telling people they are physiologically herbivores is like fundamentalist Christians telling people evolution didn`t happen.

Come the zombie apocalypse, we will all be thankful for vegetarians. Mmm, tasty tasty corn-fed organic vegetarians.

Plants are alive too, and there are micro-organisms in pretty much any water not run through reverse osmosis. Better stop eating veggies and drinking anything but bottled water.

I was the same way as a kid, haha, still am. Just am unable to have the disconnect between the animal and the meat.

Octopus is like chewing rubber bands.
Though, I do like the Japanese chips that are octopus flavored.

I`d tell my kids at Daycare "Bugs are animals too" all the time! My co-workers thought I was nutz...

But they are! Kinda. They`re living creatures, right?

DAWWW! What a precious child! And a good Mom too!

Most parents would lie or argue, it`s a fact. It`s MUCH easier, this sort of parenting is hard work!
If you have a good kid, and are a consistently good parent you can do like this video: LISTEN to your kid and tell him the TRUTH.

The danger is turning him into a precocious little B*tard, which is why you need a "good kid" in the first place. Easier said then done, eh?
