Sadly, I think she is going to die. I`m all for justice, but I don`t believe in capital punishment.

@ Draculya: I agree with you. I don`t want her to get the death penalty, even though she herself claims it`s what she wants (instead of life in prison). I also think you may be right in thinking the jury will probably recommend it. According to Arizona law, it`s recommended in 1st Degree Murder cases where the victim was made to suffer. There is some evidence that Alexander`s death wasn`t quick and involved a lot of pain. Plus, Arias seems to have really offended the jury on a personal level with the defense she wound up using (attempting to portray the victim as having been a depraved abuser).

@ Suicism: I think the caption means, "Don`t be taken in by the latest version from Arias of how the wound was received--all evidence suggests she hurt her hand herself in the course of stabbing Alexander 29 times."

    @ Whomever May Be Interested:

The sequence of the stories is confusing, even with this video, so let me explain a bit.

#1. "I cut my hand at Margaritaville on a glass."
This was how Arias explained her bandaged hand to friends immediately after the murder. Problem for Arias is that there is no Margaritaville anywhere near the town she was living in at the time--nor did she ever work at one.

#2. "A masked woman with a knife cut my hand."
Once investigators found Arias`s blood at the crime scene, she changed her story. NOW she said she was at Alexander`s house at the time of the murder--which was committed by a masked man and woman. The woman, Arias said, cut her hand with a knife.

    #3. "Alexander hurt my hand."
At her trial, Arias changed her story again, saying SHE killed Alexander--in self-defense. Alexander broke her finger, she said, while beating her.

I think I`m one of the few people who doesn`t care about this story at all. I really attribute it to not having cable and CNN specifically.

I never heard of her or this case until she was found guilty.

@ Peakingo: I don`t have a single TV in my house and up to a week ago, I was like you and didn`t know much about the Arias case and wasn`t interested. I started reading up on it several days ago and found it to be an amazing, and appalling, story.

so I was working out in my apartment building "gym" (a little room with 2 treadmills in it) and this woman was on trial on the TV. The TV was all fuzzy and the subtitles weren`t working right, so I had no idea what was going on. And to be honest, I still don`t. She killed some dude and kept changing her story. So what, that happens all the time.

"wait she killed an abusive boyfriend in self defense...?---and she is guilty how?"

no... she claimed in court (after several other lies like `i hadn`t even seen him in months`) that he was an abusive boyfriend and she`d killed him in self-defence....but all the evidence pointed to the fact it was premeditated murder.

her defence was that unbelievable she may as well have claimed `ex boyfriend? what ex boyfriend? I didn`t even know him... I`ve never had a boyfriend, i`m a fish.`

@ Neoptolemos: "This is interesting because?"

I can understand how some people might not find the Jodi Arias story interesting. Personally, I find it to be one of the most interesting murder cases in U.S. history for the following reasons:

    1. Jodi Arias wrote over 600 pages of journal during the time she dated Travis Alexander and then planned, executed, and denied her involvement in his murder. Those journal entries have been released and give insight into the mind of someone who becomes dangerously obsessed.

    2. Arias is very intelligent. Intelligent criminals tend to be a lot more interesting than non-intelligent ones.

    3. Arias was also a photographer and, incredibly, took her own photographic evidence in the minutes leading up to the murder of Alexander. After killing him, she deleted the photos--but the photos were recovered off the card.

Several other reasons, but I`m hoping you get the gist.
