This will either be epic, or an utter failure. I hope they leave it as dark as the book... but since it has "teeny-bopper" stars, I bet they`ll tame it down to keep it PG. Ugh...

It looks like they really drated with the story. Ender, in the book, never really understood what he was, and it was always presented as a game (hence the title of the book). This makes it look like less of a psychological story, and more of an action adventure movie.

That said... I will still be shelling over my $10 to see it when it comes out.

No. Movies never live up to the book. If they change any of the plot I will be very upset.

Oh so very excited, but nervous too, like all other science fiction fans. Anderson is female in the movie, that`s the only change I have noticed so far.

I`ll see it, I`ll like it, and then become the person I hate, complaining that it`s not as good as the book and loathing anyone that never read the book until it was a movie, if at all. But Orson Scott Card is a right-wing, religious jagweed and the rest of the series was pretty lame, anyway. So, ufck it, just leave Necromancer alone, Holly Wood.

I, too, got the feeling from this trailer that Ender is aware of what he is really doing. If that`s the case, the entire framework of the book is ruined. The ending is what made that book so powerful.

This movie would be amazing if they focus on the children and what they go through but I am sure it will be more of a special effects heavy action movie. Shame.

And it doesn`t look like it will be even remotely like the award winning books that spawned it.

First, Ender was an 9 year old boy, NOT an angst ridden teenager.

Second, the battles occurred DURING his training not on Earth prior to the start of his training.

I`ll see it, no doubt. But it will a sad abortion compared to the novel.

Sleepyhollow, he was 9? No...He was 10 when he was transfered to command school and 11 when he met Mazer for the final `tests`.

plus you say "Second, the battles occurred DURING his training not on Earth prior to the start of his training. "

well surely you remember that there were two prior invasion attempts by the Buggers...the first being 100 years or so before Ender was born - which is probably what the trailer is depicting.
