He was so cute when he was young. I had a bit of a crush on him back in the day.

Gerry, he is totally wrong for you.
Just look at him. His whole head is just up there in outer space. You need someone more down to earth.

I wonder why that is. Do the particles of smell contributing to taste diffuse slowly in a no gravity environment?

Maybe food particles don`t settle on the tongue as much without gravity to hold them there. So the taste buds don`t get as much to sense.

@ GOTOGuy - much of your "taste" is really done in your sinus. In weightlessness the snot is just floating around in there making you feel stuffed up. As he said it`s like eating with a head cold, and when you have a cold things taste bland.

In earlier video`s Hanfield has said that your blood circulates like here on earth. The lack of gravity doesn`t allow the blood to flow down from your head causing the sinus`s to fill up. Here`s the link to that video. Watched the series, its a good set of videos, worth the watch even if you don`t care to go into space.

Technically food doesn`t change flavor. Our ability to taste is what changes.

@ syke - sex is definitely different.
For one thing she can`t claim you`re too heavy.
But you gotta be careful, there are some things
you do not want floating around the compartment.

Well he didn`t really tell us how it changed taste, more of how he can eat sh*t in space.
